I have the Stewart. I didnt use the bypass, I have the high flow tstat with bypass holes. Did fine at Blazer Bash last year when I was roasting my balls off in 105° daytime temps.

I will definitely be using the bypass.
@mrk5 do you have AC on your rig? I'm wondering how all the threaded holes are. Did you have to tap anything? Did you just throw plugs in the holes for the bypass and heater? If so did they thread in nice?

@6872xtc did you need a different hose when you did the edlebrock?

I'll be honest I'd rather fight a hose vs tap threads ;)

I didn't have any issues with mine, I can't imagine how they would screw up something so simple.
I think that whichever one you buy, there should be time to return it if there is a problem.

From what I'm seeing 1.750 in. Is stock and the edlebrock is 1.875 in. Not a huge difference just a matter of will the hose stretch .125 in (it should)

I will keep reading on these. I always look at the reviews. Sometimes they are great sometimes they suck...

I just put plugs in; don't remember having any trouble with the threads. These are the pictures I could find that show the pump plumbing.

Kinda funny looking at this now. I remember when I started filling the radiator I discovered I had forgotten to tighten that plug. Looking at these pictures it's obvious I didn't have it tight or even have thread sealer on it.

I don't have AC, but it's something I hope to do with a Vintage Air kit in the next couple years.

My heater comes off my intake manifold and my pump is plugged. Not sure why but that's how its done

I had a universal Griffin radiator to begin with and it didn't have a port for the heater hose.

Ok I ordered the Stewart, and the Stewart high flow thermostat, once it warms up a bit we will see what this upgrade does. I may still attempt towing with it but first I need to get the temp thing figured out. ***either way I need to get it figured out**

Thanks for your input everyone.

Wow summit is super fast... I did the free shipping and it is already in my hands. I see what people are saying, I can't get the fitting to thread all the way down. Maybe its tapered and supposed to do that?? Maybe they should have cleaned up the threads? Not sure if this is ok or if I should try to run a tap down it.
