Really bummed I had to miss blazer bash this year. But I feel like I had a decent excuse. Early this morning we welcomed a new little girl to our family.
Little progress today while the new baby slept.
I found a NOS rear window relay, fixed the wiring and installed it. Window now works exactly as designed.
I also installed the new generation FITECH handheld. I know most people don't leave the handheld connected all the time but I love the added information so I run it most of the time. I love the new larger color screen.
I also removed a bunch more wires a relay and switch that aren't in use. Cleaning stuff up a little each day. I hope to eventually have minimalist wiring that is done correctly and clean.
A little more forward progress on fixing all the little things that have driven me crazy over the years. I pulled the rear interior out and did 80mil kilmat and 2 layers of 315mil closed cell foam on the bed sides and 1 layer of 315 mil foam to the wheel wells. I put the bed sides and carpet back on before getting pictures.. ooops...
Really hoping I have enough down time tomorrow to finish the foam and stick the interior back in and maybe test drive it.
Added more foam then the heat insulation and an eva mat then carpet. Now it has 4 layers of heat/sound deadner and plus carpet. Hoping to tackle the doors next.
Random question time....
I have a stock sway bar with lowering brackets and the ord quick disconnects, I'm thinking about finally converting to crossover steering but I'm worried the drag link will be too close to the sway bar.
Does anyone have this setup? Any pictures? I think it will have about an inch of clearance when level (based off measuring on my other truck) . I'm not planning on wheeling this truck anymore and if I did I'd disconnect the sway bar so at extreme angles I'm not super worried.
