I've never been much for bumper stickers, but OTOH I love to piss off liberals. And I really love the thought of some long-haired hippie liberal Prius-driving douche getting their hemp underwear in even more of a twist from - in addition to being endlessly worked up over that sweet black smoke coming from my dual 3" cat-free exhausts - seeing a bumper sticker on my truck telling them in not so many words to suck my tailpipes.

So my question is, does anyone know any good ANTI-anti-global warming stickers? :D

I always thought that a simple bumper sticker that read:

This is my Prius

...would be great on the back of my K5.

I have a SHUT UP HIPPY sticker on my rear top bar of my cage

I've been thinking about getting my sign guy to print one that says "Do we really need polar bears?"

I live in an odd place....a well-to-do part of West Virginia. It's mixed with hippies that moved onto communes in the early 60's, to wealthy real-estate and coal families, to just your regular old WV folks.

We have lots and lots of vegatarians and organic type folks here that don't mix too well with the huge hunting population and the local farmers....beef cattle is the biggest agri product in WV.

So, my two favorite bumper stickers are
"I didn't climb my way to the top of the food chain to eat vegetables" and
"I love animals. They taste great."

If you really have black smoke coming out of your exhaust you either have engine problems or are an idiot. I geussing the latter by the theme of your thread. You are simply asking for someone to give you a hard time. I am all for horsepower but it can be done cleanly.

First off this is a lounge topic, there is no tech here. But since you have been here a year, you probably knew this, but you are not a paying member.:doah:

Secondly, I am no enviro hippy, far from it, but I like to be able to breath. Maybe I have been spoiled by growing up in the country. You might as well have posted, "I like to litter, screw everybody who doesn't like walking through my trash."

There have been some guys here in Colorado having problems with greenies removing lug nuts on trail rigs and trailers. Frickin' nuts! Also heard of spiked mudholes. Cyclists have had ropes strung across trails at chest height.

While I applaud your sentiment I do agree with Chas about becoming a bigger target.

I've thought about going a little different route and make a sticker that says something along the lines of "This truck was built with recycled parts!"

"This truck was built with recycled parts!"

Now that's a cool one AND funny! I have to say I agree. Don't draw any more negative attention then you have to. In CA, there is a state program to remove old cars they consider "gross polluters". By their definition, this means any car older than ~10 years! If enough people get pissed, it could ruin it for everyone by not allowing old vehicles on the road at all.

It's sad. I had found a really straight 66 lincoln continental (like in the first Matrix movie) in a wrecking yard with only one dent in the fender, included the suicide doors and complete motor. The interior was the only thing really missing. It was so sweet but they wouldn't sell it to me because it was bought under that state program. The guy said all he could do was sell it for parts and then crush it. :( It's just a crime for such a classic vehicle to go out that way.

No, that 'black' part was mostly meant to be taken figuratively. Quick to flaunt the 'idiot' word, are we? But still, to me the smell of diesel smoke is just about as sweet as that of summer rain or fresh morning dew. Yeah, I grew up in the country too.

Half a year actually. But yeah, you're probably right. As to why I'm not a paying member (yet), that has to do with several AVS mismatches through no fault of my own when trying to pay. I discovered that funds had been reserved anyway, so I'm waiting for my next CC statement before contacting the CK5 staff about the problem. That's more information than I owe you, but there you have it. Can we move on?

Um, yeah, whatever. Not being able to breathe never was the issue here. Did you have any good suggestions on bumper stickers along the lines of the topic? Seeing as how you've really been here a year, maybe by now you understand the premise of sticking to topic?

That would make a good bumper sticker too. That other stuff's messed up though. But I was gonna get me a set of locking nuts anyway...

I also like This is MY Prius, and Who needs polar bears or similar.

But as for being a target, I still don't think I'd have to worry as much as this guy for example. :D

Not allowing older cars on the roads at all sounds pretty much like fascism to me. Hell, I hate newer cars and don't particularly care to drive anything post-1990 unless I have to, so I guess they're gonna have to lock me up. Shame about that Lincoln, too.

Sadly, that doesn't mean it won't happen. This is CA after all. I already got an offer letter from the DMV to take the K5 off my hands for $500! It said I didn't HAVE to accept the offer. I wonder what the letter will say in a few years?

I live in a logging comunity and have seen lots of these.
Also " Hug a logger Spike a tree hugger"

Mendo, your last picture was a little too racy, and I have edited it out. There is forum called the Pig Pen where we keep the eye candy. Feel free to become a member and post up the ladies there.

Even though this thread is in the wrong forum, I'm gonna let it stay for now. Some of the discussion is relevant to our scene.

HOWEVER, I will ask that we refrain from getting lippy or arrogant. Quite simply, I've spent about 8 hours in the last 2 days dealing with idiots, and if I"m forced to deal with more crap today, heads will roll.

Thanks for your cooperation.
