Burnt burb resurrection (It's mine again!)

Ahh that nothing, thats a bit little bit of dirt not mud.

I actually wouldn't call this dirty. I would call this sexy, but my neighbors were starting to get upset with the heaps of mud that I would leave in the parking spots. They all drive BMW's, caddys and benz'

You can't really see it but my entire back bumper and side steps are just chocked full of nasty sticky clay

I gotta get a set of tires for the 1ton and pull it off the market, or sell it/trade it for a beater type already lifted truck. The beat the pi$$ out of a 4x4 bug is biting me hard and I dont want to take it out on this burb:confused:. I'm about ready to start 4x4ing the camry cause I care less about it and I gotta beat something:rolleyes:

I wish the burb would have done that. I just came in from standing on my head dam near to wash the whole under side. It cleaned up pretty good under there. Wasnt too hard. but that jeep shake off would have been much better.:waytogo:

I just pulled a bone head move:doah: I wanted to remove my cat and stock muffler. So I bought a couple pieces of tube and a turbo muffler. Got home welded it all together and then crawled under the truck to cut out my old stuff. Its 3" and I got 2 1/2" stuff. $60 worth of cant use it crap:confused: I guess it'll sit around till I get somthing it will work on. If I put it on anyway it would still flow better than what I got probably. But I'll get the right stuff and start over.

That sucks man. Don't worry your not alone, I did the same thing when i was hacking my exhaust together, but me, being the cheap ass I am, went out and bought two 2 1/2 to 3 adapters and welded the biatch up... your truck is to nice to do that though. :pimp:

I'm still debating that option:rolleyes:. Its only temporary till I can get a set of headers and duals. I can go the 3" route for another $60 and use the 2.5 stuff for my kids truck, but I got it now and like I said it should flow better than what I got. Worst part of it was I stood there next to the truck in the parts store lot thinking "I should measure that,... Naaa"

nice Rick, I've done that a few times myself.
Like guessing what size a bolt was or how long the hose should be,,,of course it was just inches short of what I really needed.

I just bit the bullet and bought the 3" stuff. I got it all put on. I eliminated the cat, put staight pipe back to a thrush welded 2 chamber muffler, and the factory rust holed tailpipe. It isnt near as loud as I hoped, and actually kind of disappointed me:confused: If I could figure out how to put a video on here I'd do the before and after vids. I guess I'll have to finally play around with youtube.

I use photobucket Rick, my camera will download a video pretty much the same as a pic.

I set up a photobucket account and Now I want to cancel it:confused: how the h3ll do I do that? I can get right to the vids on my computer or directly off the camera. But when I go to the correct file or camera through PB it says the files empty???? Maybe I'm just stupid:rolleyes: I'll do the youtube thing eventually. You really cant tell a difference at all on the videos though. So I'll use the youtube thing for future vids.

After driving with the new muffler for a few days it is deffinately louder and sounds way better:D. Sitting in the drivers seat revving it up in the driveway for some reason doesnt make it sound much different. But put a load on it and man it sounds good:waytogo: I like these thrush 2 chambers. Sofar no drone while cruising, quiet enough while sitting idleing, and a great throaty rumble when gettin on it. I'm glad that I spent the extra and got the 3" stuff cause the 2.5" was just a regular thrush turbo. If any body has wondered about these mufflers:thumb::thumb:

Sounds really good Rick, how was the install?

Just like the springs I actually ratcheted off the U bolt at the cat to Y pipe connection, smacked around it with a hammer and wiggled it off. I cut the tail pipe off the muffler and pulled it all out. I got 3 18" pieces of straight pipe and the muffler was center outlet offset inlet. I welded the inlet to 2 straights, cut 3" out of the last straight and welded it to the outlet. Then stuck it all back in and it fit the factory hangers. whole thing took 2 hrs. It was a noticeable power improvement too.

Nice man!! SOunds pretty nice! now get a new freekin belt and take another vid!!!! lol
