Burnt burb resurrection (It's mine again!)

sub I ordered was way backordered:doah: so I canceled it and picked up one of these. I got the premounted one in the box. saves me a bunch of hassle and I figured I cant tune it better than JBL them selves:dunno: Box is pretuned for in cabin use like station wagons and hatchbacks... should be perfect:waytogo:

starting to get irritated (warning, Rant)

Aparrently the jbl is back ordered indefinately:confused: Now I'm back to square 1 and really upset with my normal online dealer. www.onlinecarstereo.com
had good luck before with them, and cant hardly beat the prices. But they dont say anything about items backordered on the site Or even notify you by email. I waited 9 days before calling the first time. 4 this time. apparently they will NEVER stock the jbl again. :dunno: Still on the site though:rolleyes:

Oh well, On to the next site and givving me ideas:thinking:

Do you have any decent craigslist markets in your area?

I used to be skeptical, but for what i've gotten recently, used car audio deals can be AWESOME.

I'm currently running a JL 12w6 in my burb, after buying it for a temporary boat sub for $300, including box.

Just bought a 10w7 for the boat, in a nice box, with a mediocre amp for $400. That is a 7-800 sub, alone.

I've never done any competition stuff, but i've always liked JL. Thinking you are going to be looking for something better, but i've got a 12w3 in a box, with amp that i could sell you cheap.....

After reading through, i saw you were looking at the JL 13. A friend is running a 13w6 in his boat, and all I can say is :eek1:

Its only running on a JL 500.1 slash amp. I've heard that they handle the 1000.1 slash even better.

A 15" should fit the bill nicely. How sweet is it that we have hte space to run whatever we want?

I know it:D I'm thinking this one will do me nicely:rolleyes: I'm definately going with the Orion. I had one of the original XTR 15"s and WOW. These Xtr pro's seem to be equivilent at least. Would have had it ordered today but apparently they still have my cancelled order on my credit card:doah: gonna be a few days before they pull it off. then the box building begins:waytogo:

If I get bit by the bug again........ there may be 2 NICE 15"s in my future. or....... I've always wanted 18"s:thinking:

Not until you save up enough $$$ for about an acre of dynamat.

My 12w3 did pretty decent without major rattles....the 12w6 sends a shockwave of rattles through from the back :haha:

already have a bunch of like 2x3 panels laying around. and its REAL cheap on the site I been ranting about:rolleyes:

W7s are boss status in the sub world. All the speaker only shops around here have to put them in their own separate boxes. When they had the w7s in the wall with the 20 or so other brands they would blow the other subs, or themselves, out of the box.

I have 2 12in W6s in my Burb, with a ported box, with 1800 watts to them, with 4 6x9s, 2 4ins, and 4 tweeters, with 400 watts to them, and them subs rattle quarters off my hood. Thats something like 16ft or so of body and interior to get to the hood. JL makes the best subs hands down.

there nice but there IS better. W7's are one of my favorite for sure though. I cant really afford them OR the others:rolleyes: Later in life I will though:D

oh these are gonna be black too

I HATED when I had them in my Blazer. It seems like a horrible location to me. "Kick panel" was a very appropriate name.

i usually put my foot right there:doah: so it will take some getting used to for sure. but i really didnt wanna cut the doors, and all the indoor speakers ive had in squares have gotten muffled by my leg. so i figured id try it once

I have a set of those in my garage don't like them cuz they get in the way of the dimmer switch
