Ha when I was a younger fella I would've hated the diesel it is SLOW but thats ok with me now, I can kind of afford to drive it

Maybe some day I'll convert the burnt burb to diesel since that is really what I want. But it'll probably never happen. I dont really care about the milage deal. As long as I stay I double digits on the highway I'll be happy.

Wheels ordered today. Now it's all on the way and I'll have to wait and see if it all comes soon enough to get it done first week in april. I'm going to spry down and try to loosen all the bolts and nuts neccessary to do the job. That way when it gets here its just a Jack, yank, swap, n drop.

If you really want to do it quick when the new parts arrive, do a complete removal and reinstall of everything ahead of time.....then you can have all the problem areas taken care of and not be hung up on em later.

PB blaster is your friend here.

I agree with Zim here, you should get shipping notifications so start tearing down a day or two before your stuff comes.

I would really like to see this thing:D

PB blaster has its own spot in my tool room:waytogo: Thats what I'm using. I'm not sure where I'm doing it yet. I have a Large shop owned by a family friend that I usually use. But its his grandmas so I have to get permission yet. Shouldnt be a problem. If not though, I'll have to do it in my crooked a$$ leaning driveway. In that case I'll do it all at once:confused:

Rims are here already, I'm glad I didnt pay for the 2 day shipping. Ordered them tuesday night and got them thursday morning. I thought it'd take a week. I'm going to have the tires put on the rims when i pick them up monday or tuesday.

$494.65 with 2 extra centers that are open for the front hubs and shipping.

I will have the tires mounted and sitting in the garage waiting in the morning. I also took the burb on its first interstate highway trip today. It was only about 85 miles round trip. It did pretty good. I may have to keep an eye on the tranny though? It kind of feels wierd around 65. Hunts for the right gear. That'll probably change with the bigger tires I guess. My ORD stuff will be here tuesday, so now its down to springs:thumb: Its pretty in the sun though.

are you gonna get rid of that plastic crap along the bottom?

I'd like to, but I wanna wait till I'm ready to paint the whole thing. That way I can fix all of the mounting holes and stuff, then paint the whole thing. For now I'm stuck with it:confused: But it may come out alright? The wheels I got are 10" wide and by a quik measurement it looks like they are even with the flares. The tires may even stick out a little.
