Burnt burb resurrection (It's mine again!)

I got you their man. I actually got a bunch cleaned up on my truck, washed it really good, polished the heck out of the chrome, and painted up the grill. Im puttin some pics on my thread now. Looks 100% better from the front.

I got 'em:woot::woot: I kinda wish I would have had the option for bushing color. I want black or blue ones:confused: I'll change them some day, I just want them in for now.
But I do have one question? The double wrap spring eye on the front springs goes to the front of the truck right??

I got the fronts in. Need to tighten everything. I also got the rest of the clearance issues taken care of. I had to trim the front shock mounts a little to clear the shock:dunno:. Alcan sent me the wrong spring bushings for the rear:confused: I'm going to try to make them work. More tomorrow

Thats Alcan for you. Same thing happened to me. I was very happy with the springs products just NOT their service or their "timely" shipping. Wouldnt do business with them again.

Cool man. Seems like you have been waiting forever!!! Must have been pretty stoked to open that box!! lol

Being custom built springs and only a week later than expected I cant fault them there. But sending bushings that wont fit in the springs that THEY built is kind of dumb. Its a small problem and I'm sure they'd fix it, but I dont want to wait anymore. They're the right width and the sleeve is the right size. They're just about 3/16 to big around to fit in the eyes. I'm going to build a pin to hold them and chuck em up in the lathe at work tonight.

What kind of material are they made of? Like a plastic or the poly stuff? How well does the poly machine down?

they're poly, and I dont know but I'm about to find out. Either way they dont work now. So its just an order away if it doesnt work:dunno: then I could get the black ones I want.

Did you find out which way the double loop goes??
I just looked at the 1 ton. They go twards the front. Then I got to looking at the rears and relized that they're not centered. By the angle of the pin it appears that all the alcan stickers go to the rear. I got the bushings turned down too. I was swamped at work so a guy I work with took them home this morning and turned them down for me. I would get them in today but I do believe I have a date:waytogo:. The burb can wait a little longer:whistle:. Shes supposed to come over after 4 so I'll have to wait till tommorow to work on it.

Sweet! Bummer that you had to that, but at least it was quick and easy. Now get that thing back on its wheels! We need finished product pics!

The new lug nuts will be here wednsday. I should have it sitting on all 4's then:D

Hey Rick, if its one thing I've come to expect, its having to make parts work. Seems like they don't always just "bolt in".
Good luck on the date, and man I can't thank you enough for taking the time to come up to MI. Your 3 days of help was huge.

This picture looks a little "shady"...

The burb is going to be sweet, you got a super deal on it. I can't believe the bolts came out like that. Is that a southern vehicle? Or did some grandpa never take it out of his garage?

I'm told its from utah. I have all the paperwork but havent really paid attention.

Its rolling:woot::woot: I gotta wash it, BAD. I also have to either make or buy a set of sway bar corrections. I couldnt hook it up as is:doah:But its drivable, I'm going up to get it right now.
