Burnt burb resurrection (It's mine again!)

Well let me know if you find any good places over there to "lightly" wheel a stock truck.

In the meantime keep it out of the salt. Subscribed. :waytogo:
I gotta drive 2 hrs to even heavily wheel a truck of any kind. We have a bunch of dirt roads and thats it. They get muddy but I'm not much into digging my self out of a mud hole anymore:) not to mention the mud in every nook n cranny under the truck. I wanna move closer to the Rocks some day.

Yeah, permanent damage.

I have a sand blaster (cheap POS) but I cant do that in the shop:confused:. I guess I'm stuck to a wirewheel and sand paper.

Where can you get Buckshot Mudders anymore?

I have no idea, they were brand new on it when I got it, still have the paint lines down the middle, but they had some weather cracks between the threads so they were def older, but tread is still brand new. I really like them, they look really nasty, and dont ride too bad, they are loud but so is my whole truck, But idk i hope they still make them because im gonna want another set. They are amazing in the snow too. I only put the thing in 4 wheel a handfull of times this winter and it was just precautionary.

Edit: Looks like they still make them, I love them man, right through snow and mud, havnt tried in sand yet but im sure they will be ok. They are a little pricy but i really like them. http://www.google.com/#hl=en&ds=pr&sugexp=ldymls&pq=buckshot%20maxxis%20mudder%2032x11.5&xhr=t&q=buckshot+maxxis+mudder+32&cp=25&pf=p&sclient=psy&tbs=shop:1&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=buckshot+maxxis+mudder+32&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=f49f42c0b66ccee8&bs=1

I'll be back under it tomorrow. I gotta see if I can stay warm enough though. Went from 60's to 30's here in a couple days. I have a small heater but its a huge shop. I can get alot of stuff cleaned up but I may have to wait to prime and paint the wells when it warms up next week. Time and money constraints are looking like I may not get to take the burb when I go to the build n greet:confused: I havent heard from ORD on my drop pitman thats back ordered, hopefully my springs will ship out in the next couple days, and I want all the running gear fluids changed before I do a long trip. I'm going to pick away at the fluid changes this week and try to clean up what I can. I work 12hr days all weekend though so....:doah:

I got a little done today. I decided against my better judgement and didnt totally clean up the front inner fenders. I made them better but their not right, their replaceable. I used 2 different wire wheels on them and then an abrasive wheel. Cleaned them with alcohol, Zinc primed, and painted them. I painted the new ubolts and the new shocks. I also got the front spring plates off the sway bar. This weekend I'm going to build a set of sway bar correction/disconnects. I'll just bolt them since I'll never have to disconnect them. I ran into an issue with the new brake lines though? When installed they look like they will rub the tire. I turned the fitting at the caliper back 90* and it looks better, but still dont look right. I guess I'll have to see when the tires are mounted.

looking good Shady....keep at it man, I'm hoping we'll get a warm rush again after next week for build week!

Oh that looks so much better, too bad those nice tires will be covering up those nice wheel wells and frame!! Such a shame.... haha

I got the next 2 days off so I'll get more done. I havent heard anything from Alcan yet:dunno:. But he did say the 24-25th if all went well. Hopefully some time this week though. I'm gonna change the fluids this week, any one ever used Lucas products before?

I put the Lucas oil treatment in my engine, it didnt stop the knock but it went from burning a quart a week to not burning any lol. So that sounds like good incentive to me.
