Camping Trailer Build

It's a custom 3 axis hitch I made for my other trailer. It uses a couple poly bushings for 2 axis and a trailer hub/spindle for the 3rd.

GREAT idea! do you run from onboard air or a separate system?

Really enjoying this build. Subscribed.

I have an Oasis compressor on the S-10 so I'll just be running an air line from the S-10 to the trailer.
So are you!:haha:
I think that may be the first time I've ever been called short... :dunno:
You must have hit your head one too many times while swapping out the driveshaft in your rig :haha:

Are you making it to Blazer Bash this year?

Apparently Eric isn't going to answer...

I got a few hours out in the garage tonight. I made the turnbuckles to adjust the a-frame on the trailer and temporarily hooked up a way to put air in the bags. The pictures are taken with the trailer hooked up to the truck and the trailer at ride height.

Was wondering how you were going to secure that A frame. Be nice when you're not using it to be able to flip it up.

Well when I'm busy hitting my head on stuff it gets Blurry.

I am going to probably go with Keith this year. Been to busy with house stuff to do much on Horton. But I might bring the Jimmy

It's going to have the spare tire mounted up there, so it wouldn't be able to flip all the way up, plus the trailer jack will be on the front so I'm not sure if I'll end up flipping it up too often.

It will be good to see you again, maybe you can help Keith swap a driveshaft this year :flipoff5:'

I need to get a bunch done this weekend. I'm hoping to have the shocks and spare mounted and the main storage compartment of the trailer done. I'd also like to get a start on the battery mounts and the water tank.

I've only got 4 weekends left before my big trip...

I got some stuff done on the trailer after work yesterday and today. I made some mounts for the solenoids and rigged up some temporary tubing to test the bags out:

After getting everything hooked up, I realized that I need some check valves to make everything work properly. But I figured out how to make it hold air good enough to stay inflated overnight.
Saturday morning we started by making up some shock hoops and mounting up the shocks:

Then we made up a simple spare tire mount:

Then we spent the rest of the day making a box to mount the two group 31 batteries that will power everything in the trailer:

I'm hoping to get the main storage area of the trailer finished up tomorrow.

the only color epic enough for this trailer to be painted is orange.

LOL, I was thinking white or tan, but orange could work.

We spent all day yesterday in the garage again, the weather is miserable right now... I'm not sure what happened to our "dry heat" but it wasn't here yesterday.
We didn't get as much done as I hoped, but we did make some good progress. I made the floor for the main storage section of the trailer:

Then we made the front wall:

Then we finished up the day with tubes for the fenders and the back wall of the trailer and the cover for the battery box:

There's so much left to do and I'm supposed to leave on my trip in less than 4 weeks....
