Chevy's in the wild

Are Warn hubs inferior to Spicers?
The Warns are a lot more user friendly as far as getting them to unlock as compared to the Spicers - the dial on the Warns will turn even though the hub is still engaged ( as soon as the tension is released internally the spring pushes the drive out of the way and free wheeling mode is set ) but the dial on the Spicers won’t move unless the drive has no pressure on it.
This is aggravated even more so with a L/S or locker up front.

All that being said the components of the Spicers BY FAR out weigh the pot-metal that the Warns use - the Spicer hubs are very strong!
Just to be fair though if the dial is forced on the Spicers it and the pin on the back side can break but that’s due to human error.

The Spicers are just STOUT - and besides, they look so damn cool too.

That wagon is SWEET!.
We're hoping we can get the Cutlass traded of on a very similar version of patina wagon after it's done.

Wow
I almost bought a used 78 454 truck, but bought a new 85 C20 instead.
