ck5 alaska trip-july 1 2011 to july 11 2011

cant wait to get my rig running.... or a new rig that runs lol. then id totally be down to go. gotta visit my sis in portland before i take a pleasure trip though ;)

So I wont be there for 2011 but I WILL be flying in for 2012. Me and the girlfriend flying out either way to feel out the place because we're thinking about moving to the Wasilla area. :woot:

If any of you canadian brothers see a truggy towing a single car open with an 80s 442 on the back in 2013 dont be confused thats just me picking my **** up and relocating me life :D

I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it. Problems seem to keep popping up. I'm now looking in to dropping a 383 to replace the 350 that seems to have developed a cooling issue anyway. In which case I may just re-wire the whole truck while the motor is out, since I still need to waterproof everything and replacing other parts with marine products.

lol u dont need to water proof everything i have done nothing to mine other than rerout the air intake over to the heater box area

Well wouldn't the 5ft water crossings put the water over the hood? I was going with dual snorkels and marine electronics inside. Waterproof connections and........well I haven't figure the rest out yet.

umm its not over my hood lol usually you drop in and then start back up out usually.but like i said i have done nothing special to mine for the deep water.

I wonder how much it would cost to ship my K5 from Port St Lucie, Fl to Anchorage, AK and back! This is a bucket list trip though....

if i can get aleast one of the 3 i own running , haha , im allways down for a week off of work , especally if it means a chance to break things and sling mud

In 06 Seattle to anchorage was looking at about $1200 for my ext. Cab shortbed. It was about $700 to do the same trip south.

I believe my girlfriend will be up near the fourth so I may be taking time off work around then. We usually head out to Boulder, but if we have the chance of catching up to you guys maybe we'll do that instead. I love Eureka but there isn't much cover for those spontaneous thunderstorms, and the woman won't sleep in a chair under a tarp like I will lol.
