I am going to make the 1700 mile trip to Moab from Charleston, WV for the first time this year. Been wanting to come for several years now and thought that this looked like a great group to explore Moab with. I may have several questions about the area over the next few weeks so please be patient with me. I know that alot of you are camping, is there a certain motel that any of you will be staying at? thanks Rodney, here is my K5 that I will be bringing

Thats really cool that you would tow that far to run in the slickrock country. I only live 100 miles away from Moab and it seems like it's a long way over there. We are staying at the Moab Rim Camp Park. B_to_C got the last cabin available. I don't know about the RV and Camping spots. That is one tough looking truck.

hey guys what is the weather (temp) usually like in Moab around the time of the event? thanks Rodney
 
Mid 70's is on the low side for mid day temps and mid 80's on the high side.

Lows will be in the mid 50's.
 
used to be an 85 blazer but now it is all tube and mostly body skins. 509 BBC making 560 dyno proven HP, Art Carr TH 400, Atlas 4spd, D60 35 spline inner.outers drive flanges, 14 bolt, 4/56. Full hydro steering, 1410 D shafts f/r. 32 gallon stainless fuel cell. 52 inch Deaver front custom packs with front stretched 6 inches, 16 inch Sway a way remotes. custom rear leaf packs and Sway a ways with shackle flip. 44 Boggers on beadlocks, the list goes on and on...

I also run TSLs and thats what I am bringing to MOAB, the winch line was out because I had to turn a jeep back over that was ahead of me on the trail
 
You'll definitely enjoy the difference in terrain. Almost opposite of what you're used to in WV.
