Cost of Dana 60 front, rant

Three things stand out in the pics. Looks like a 70b casting. Tall lips on the diff cover. And the HD inner C. The 30 spline 8 lug hubs is in the 60 favor though.

Is this the same bolt pattern as the F-superduty 97 and older?

Not a 60? lol

The 70 u b s and hd all are different applications and I'm not even sure of all the vast dana 70 uses.

It is a Dana 70B with the heavy duty Dana 70 inner C’s. It has 35 spline inners and 30 spline outers.

The pre 97 F-Superduty and the 3500HD both have a 10 on 7.25” pattern. The Ford uses a 9/16” wheel stud and the hub pilot is 5.46” while the GM is 5.25” and has 5/8” studs.

The 10 lug hubs that I have are actually Ford but most of the Fords used a Dana 70 also with GM style knuckles, hubs and spindles. It just needs the centering pilot turned down and 5/8” studs installed.

You a bulk seller or just a bulk buyer? Lol

I sold CUCV 60/14 bolts from the mid 80's until when the supply dried up. I probably sold a few thousand over the years.

I have only a few percent of the "stock" that I usually had. There just isn't enough profit anymore. I could get about the same money for axles in the 80's as I can now. The CUCV's go for stupid money now. I bought them by the lot in the 80's and 90's for a few hundred each. Now what they bring in auctions is more than I can get for the parts.

I bought a bunch of Axletechs a few years ago before anyone knew what they were for scrap price. I am about out of them now.

Wouldn't be able to do anything for months, waiting for my start date to go back to work (maybe within the next 2 months but dont know).

I bet it will still be here. I haven't even thought about selling it but I have been thinking about buying a new F450 and those things are like buying a new house. I would need to sell a lot of my projects if I give in to the new truck wants.

I have a good bit more stuff for these too. Like Alcoa wheels that haven't been in production in probably 20 years as well as new center caps and lug covers.

I had a 3500HD that I wanted to build into a crew cab 4x4. I looked EVERYWHERE for the front hubs or complete front axle. I called junkyards all over the east and mid west, couldn't find any. I called Monroe and the other company who built those trucks, still couldn't find any. But I don't understand is why in the hell would Texas have more 4wd versions than in the northeast where 4wds are more needed. I could have had the hubs built if a local machine shop didn't go out of business.

The 3500HD only came as a regular cab 2wd. Monroe charged a lot of money to do these conversations. They were nearly as much as the original vehicle cost. They also did the crew cab conversion and it was about the same price. Railroad companies bought a lot of the crew cab conversions.

One of these came from Kansas and the other came from Nevada. I don’t think I have ever seen one in Texas besides the ones I have. I have seen 2 Ford versions In Texas. They used them for bucket trucks for electric companies.

I had a Kenworth truck and bought stuff all over the country. I would haul them back home when I couldn’t find a load coming home.
