Crews and worthy rigs Around the country

the way its built is to work the best . the boom / hoist unit needs to be positioned in such a spot to hold the load best . then the sling on the tail end cant be to far out or the angles of load will be all wrong . so this is why they got short in the rear .

not offten you see them like this anymore unless a survivor or reproduction of one .

if i run across the pics again there was a company in the new york / pa / new jersey area back in the 70-80 or newer possible . they did yellow chevy / gmc c-10-c-30 trucks like this and there is a lot of crash pics of them as towing back then was the wild wild west days . .

Got it, so is this something to get excited about? Will the market go crazy over it or will it struggle? Whats your guess?

I believe that there are few people who would really appreciate it, if it's fairly clean. Most will not have a flippin' clue of how neat that truck is. The bobbed tail makes it easier to keep the front tires on the ground when towing. And the classic style is a definite bonus.
I guess that it won't go crazy, just good.

i would get a STIFFY over a clean c/k 30 with a holmes 480 or 500 split boom and a holmes 440 single line boom before this unit . there just a city truck for the most part over a more universal wrecker setup is all .

its clean looking and nice but limited .

I believe that is a very old Pierce unit.
The way that stiff arm comes down on the tail end of the chassis is pretty much exactly what you don't want.
It acts like a cheater pipe putting leverage on the tail end of the truck.
The bobbed bed is cool though.

Put big ass tires on it and wheel it

Here is an interesting one. Cab-chassis with a pickup bed added.

This isn't one of them, but wasn't there some factory built stealth dually's with normal fleet side beds tubbed for a narrowed dually axle..?
Maybe they used one of those beds and extended it

I think im in love. Love some of the details, rear a/c, 3rd row cleanly/easily removable. Lots to love. This wont be cheap.
