Crews and worthy rigs Around the country

few days old . saw it on FB wrecker group . . . nice ride but if you work it to hard there is limited parts available for the 4x4 system .

and why everyone says you can reg it for under CDL spec weight is smoking crack . . . the DOT man looks at the door tag and goes off that anymore . no matter what you reg it for .

I don't know the laws but I know I've changed the registered weight on a bunch of power company F550s. They were registered high to match gvwr and they were no where near that weight ever so we dropped the registered weight to pay less taxes.
A truck like that I'd only buy for personal use or something like maybe a big ranch or something. Nothing hard like you said.

well around here the dot man opens your door and looks at the tag from the factory and rolls with that info . . . . and if air brakes you better at least have rv air brake endorsement for personal use if not full CDL for reg use .

So is that actually 6x6 or just the rear axles? The description is crap.

No such worry here.

When I worked for International in like '07-'08 we had a brand new truck come in for a pdi or something and it had Marmon Harrington rear axles also. They are crazy looking with the small center section. I'm wondering if it was destined to become an mrap possibly cuz I think they run them.

I believe they and the Army’s MTV’s did have M&H axles.
