Custom soft top windshield bracket

Im going to have to pass for now. I will have to wait until funds are right and give ya a pm

THESE THINGS LOOK SWEET!!!

My top is a Kayline, so the snaps probably wont line up. i would have to do the snaps myself. Other than that, the rest sounds good for me.

No worries mang. These will be the last ones I make for a while as I'm moving to Germany in two months. BUT, they're simple to make and maybe somebody on here can start making some up for everybody. If the fifth one doesn't get picked up I may send it to Kert and let him see if they want to make them and send them out to people. I imagine he can pick up sheets of 16 gauge for next to nothing. I was able to make 6 of them out of ~5/8 of a sheet...

Sounds good dude, I'll remember that. Hopefully I can find some stuff to ship these in in the next couple days.

Finished them up today. Didn't get a chance to look around for anything to ship them in, so hopefully I can do that tomorrow and get these things going out to you guys:thumb:

quick question I just thought of...
those 3 bolts on the sides are where the big triangular seal bolts on, right? did you build it to go under the seal, or over? I'm assuming under (or behind) the seal, but just curious.

a pic would be nice.

cool, thanks for the pics. I forgot you don't have your sun visors on so can't use the vertical bolts that go through them.

What do you mean bout the visors? I have them, I just keep forgetting to put them back on :doah:

I haven't had any luck finding boxes that are 5x5x60.... Looks like I'll go to the local safeway and snag a bunch of randoms and make some type of sheathing to cover up the pointy bits and protect these things a bit. Can anyone who is signed up PM me their address and I'll start seeing how much the shipping will be. Hopefully it isn't too bad. I doubt anybody is in too big of a hurry for it right? I may be able to send them parcel post for super cheap but it'll take 3-5 weeks if that's cool.

I'm just going to cut up regular sized boxes and wrap it around/tape it up.

What????? No 60 pound super crate to insure it's safety??

Totally let down now..

:D

when i ordered a steel bumper for my jeep, the guy just taped the shipping label to the steel with clear packing tape, and also wrote my name and address on the steel with a wax pencil. It came UPS. maybe you can just ship it without any packaging. It is not as if anyone is worrying about scratches or dings or any such thing on a piece of steel.

They're long/thin enough that they kind of bounce around. I just wanted to try and keep the from getting tweaked. This should work out ok.

And Mike, i figured people didn't want to pay $800 for shipping:D

They're on the way guys. Expect Monday for delivery. If sooner it's a bonus:D
