Cylinder heads

Awesome I grew up there , Ace Fuel might help but these guys are the best : DeLeon Dyno Performance 1439 Laurelwood Rd, Santa Clara, CA 95054(408) 816-7779 ( the Vic's father and son ) can get you squared away if you need help, plus they do dynos!
Awesome thank you, I’ve heard of ace fuel but they are always booked for months. I’ll try Deleon, I was also gonna see when iceman was free and I’ll drive up to him. I’m just waiting till I fully break in engine ( 500 miles ) before I go on the freeway

I'm sure Iceman can help also, I used to work with the Vic's they are true motor heads and build and fix awesome stuff. I need to bring my 62 Buick down to them and have it dynoed an tuned, it lives at my dads in chico.

Oh nice that’s good to know. 62 Buicks are really cool.

Victory machine has been around a long time. Good shop.
Well that’s good to know! I went there because my brother works down the street at an auto body shop and he said he always sees them breaking in engines on the stand so I took my chances with them lol. They seemed knowledgeable just not very personable, well at least the techs weren’t but Vic was alright. They are also very busy shop so that was a good sign.

So I finally got the blazer running in tip top shape! I ended up buying the Edelbrock 1913 avs2 800 cfm carb and truck runs so much better. I had to change out the step up springs to silver and moved the accelerator pump to middle hole, adjusted air/fuel screws with vacuum guage and truck is awesome now. Next step is to rebuild the transfer case and transmission

Well just when I think I finally got truck dialed in. My vapor canister is bad! Anyone know where I can get one? Mine has 6 ports, I searched online and it’s discontinued every where?

My truck started idling funny today, I removed the air cleaner and found a bunch of the charcoal in there. I think some got into my brand new carb ‍♂️

Thats really bad canister. Usually the vacuum switches just leak.

At least you passed smog allready remove and block the hoses. Use a shop vac to clean out carb venturis. Charcoal isn't going to hurt the engine.
You got 2 yesrs to find another, over throw your suppressors, or gtfo into the free world

Ya I’m searching everywhere and can’t find one. I’m going to keep looking but I’ll remove it and block off ports. Ya been thinking of leaving California lol

A charcoal canister like that will plug catalytic converters. If it's just sucking through the throttles, the carb may be fine. If it's pulling through some other port in the carb that would be worse.

I’ll be bypassing the canister until I find one. I’m gonna also take top of carb off to inspect and clean and check al the vacuum lines

Well I found a evap canister, looks to be newish. It only has 5 ports instead of 6 but I think it will work fine. I just had to cap a port on the purge vacuum line that goes to the air cleaner. Got truck up and running again, next is rebuild transmission and transfer case.
