Deulings 1985 K5 Blazer, --aka Borderline Obnoxious; Silver Lake pics and Vids

Well guys, woke up at 4am to head to Northern Michigan University in Marquette. (In the Upper Peninsula). Had a tour of the campus set up at noon, made it in 8 hours as we rolled in at 12 exactly lol. But its an amazing country up here for those who havnt ever seen it. Lakes on every side lol.

We got a free snowboarding pass to Marquette Mountain for going on the trip, along with a free meal, and 50% off the hotel. So tommorrow we will be hittin up the mountain all day. Its supposed to be the best in Michigan.

seems like you got a good thing going for ya kid.....take good care with your life and you'll turn out pretty good..................what kinda space ship were you driving? :eek1:
 
Haha , get ready for it....... yes it was a prius, lol, but not mine, my buddy borrowed it, thing gets like 50mpg on average though haha. They are really nice inside, but then I get reminded how not cool it is on the outside when we stop lol.

Its almost 10, the mountain opens up soon, hopefully Ill get some nice pics of it, not sunny anymore though, its kinda cold and snowy. Freekin Michigan weather, it was supposed to be sunny all weekend I thought lol.

Edit: We averaged 55mpg in the Prius, cost about $50 to drive over 800 miles. Would have cost about $350 in my truck lol. wow.

Got home this afternoon. We stopped at the Munising falls, and it was frozen!!! lol, sign said do not walk up to it, but come on, how often do you get to touch a massive frozen waterfall??? Well i had to crawl up the ice because It was really slippery and i just started sliding towards the edge lol. I thought i was gonna die haha, but it was worth it :woot:

We went to marquette mountain yesterday, it was amazing, way better than anything ive been to in michigan, awesome runs, huge jumps and rails and tons of powder. It was awesome.

Yah idk haha their was nobody their, just a stupd sign, i couldnt beleive that much water could freeze like that, its insane.

Nice way to rock the flows!!! I love mine especially for the little hills in Michigan. Can't wait to hit up a real mountain in two weeks! Heavenly, Kirkwood and northstar booo yah!!
 
Oh yes, I have the FLow Amp 5's, Ive had them for about 5 or 6 years now i think, and when I got them people freaked out because they had never seen anything like them. Now everybody has them. They are awesome though, I tried strap ons and I dont like how they feel, Only disadvantage is that you cant sit down to put them on, and they are a pain to get in on a steep slope, oh and the fact that I have to wait 5 min for all my friends to strap in lol.
 
I thought the same thing when I read that , but I figured I'd be nice:haha:

I, myself, have never tried strap ons. Simply because I'm pretty darn sure I WILL NOT like how it feels.

Sorry, had to go there! Just too funny to not mess with that one! I really have no idea what you were talking about, shoes maybe?, but that gave me a good laugh... and some people here at work too.
 
yeah, shoes or "bindings". Those look like the same ones I used for my rental board. Same style, probably not same brand. "Head" I think. Seem nice, easy to get in standing up, hard sitting down. Never tried the clip in style boots.
 
Haha, yes they are snowboard bindings. Instead of having the 2 ratchet straps on each binding, you preset the single strap on the front and the back has one latch, release it and the back folds down, then slide your boot in, and pull the back up and pop the latch in and ready to go. While everybody else is spending 2 minutes ratcheting their bindings on, im halfway down the hill already, they are by far the best bindings i have ever tried and they are one of the first ones flow came out with i believe, of that style. They really dont cost much more than normal bindings either, they are just a pain to get into when on the side of a hill, but normally the top of the hills are flat anyways.

Personally i dont like the click in ones, or step ins. They feel weird because their is no front or back support for your boots, idk, and ive seen alot of people using them have their feet pop out mid jump and thats a bad deal, thats why they stopped making the K2 clickers like that because alot of people got ankle injuries. I have seen the clickers with a similar back to the flows, with the one latch, but then why not just buy the flows, since you have no avantage over them anymore. Only reason the clickers are good is because if you get good with them you can jump off the lift and click your foot in and never stop to strap in, that is unless their is no snow at all in them causing the clip to not go in lol.

Heres a video, Make sure to turn the sound up lol, my trucks too quiet lol.




And the after effects lol, the owner of that carwash is gonna be PISSED!!! lol, it was some sticky nasty stuff lol. I look effed up in this pic lol, Im blaming the sun in my eyes lol.

Lol, too bad you gotta crank the sound to make my truck sound beasty at all lol.

Lol we just got my buddies 10-1/4 sterling with a limited slip in his f-250 diesel. His tires are bald and he almost got stuck driving out of the barn, so it gave me a good idea to grab my truck lol.


Haha dont turn this one up as loud, his truck is very loud lol, and dont mind my goofy narroratng lol, i got a little excited haha.

My dad goes, wow nates tire must be bald cuz it took him twice as long to drive through it haha.
