Deulings 1985 K5 Blazer, --aka Borderline Obnoxious; Silver Lake pics and Vids

I used to want a warrior sooo bad. Two years ago I picked up a 96 blaster for 500 so it all worked out.

Well I had the day off, so I called up grandpa and he had plenty of work for me lol. Got the Dock in, I thought you guys may appreciate his dock system!! Also got the pontoon boat and hey my grandpa found a nice shed to put in his yard!!! lol. My grandpa worked for Ericksons Crane company for 45 years as an operator, so if theirs something to be moved, he can move it!!!:thumb:

If you guys didnt know, me and my grandpa are like best buddies lol, I practically lived at his house for 3 years during high school, he has taught me so much and we just rag on each other all day like best buds.

That things extreamly clean for an 88:eek1: Nice score man. try not to kill yourself now:D I just sold both of my quads cause I KNEW thats exactly what I was gonna do:rolleyes: Get me on a quad and my IQ points get cut in half. Its hard to stay safe with only 2 left

Haha, yeah im not much of a dare devil so i doubt I will be killing myself on it any time soon!!! lol. Its pretty cool and yes my cousin took fantastic care of it. Its hardly been ridden since 1997!!! He just started it a few times a year.

Its got the gold plated rims that he just painted over with white, so i will be taking the them off and sand blasting back to the gold very shortly!!

The Warrior is one of the most reliable, if not the most, quad out there. It has not changed much throughout the years. Simple stuff like plastics, headlights, front shocks (IIRC), carb (though always a Mikuni 36mm, slight changes) and various other minor stuff. My cousin has first owner '87 and I have an '03. Well, I enjoyed it, then modded it, rode for about 3 months, sold it to my father/brother, and bought a trx450r.

they are tanks, take care of the battery, filter, and oil, they live forever. The new Raptor 350 is a Warrior in different plastic, only slight changes were made to the suspension, carb, cam, and tire size. Should say something.

Glad you had a good day, saweet! What's under the cover at your grandpas house?

Also, if you sandblast those rims, the gold iridite plating will be gone too, you'd have to get them replated. You might want to try some paint stripper or something.

That was a polaris ranger I beleive, but thats the guys house we took the shed from.

Yah I thought about the blaster takin off the coating, I just flipped the rear tires over, the insides were not painted, and it also gave me another inch or so on both sides via the offset. I think a brass wire wheel or some thinner will work good on the fronts, the paint just chippes off anyways. That should def clean up the looks of it, and after I get the truck finished for mods this year lol, ill look into shorter rear tires for the warrior and a sprocket swap, those tires are 22" tall!!! Very ugly lol.

Well yet another fantastic day. Went to grandpas again and cut trees for 8 hours, went riding with the new quad with a buddy and his bike for 14 miles through some sweet trails that are maybe 10 min from my house, and hung out with the lady all night. Doesnt get much better than this (well maybe if I could haul the quad to the trails in the back of the Blazer.... But that will come soon enough lol)...:woot::woot:

I made some goodies for the quad today. Turned out sweet, ill put a link in my sig to the thread.

Went up to the dunes yesterday, didnt get too many pics because it was cold and rainy and not many trucks their just bikes and quads really. I did see one sweet K5 while I was riding but couldnt really whip the camera out and keep riding up test hill at the same time lol.

Dang it Deuling, July cant get here fast enough. Must be nice to live that close! Nice pics!!:waytogo:

Haha yah its pretty great, about 45 minutes or so. Gas was 3.98 up their!! Its like 4.09 here. I figured it would be more expensive up their seeing theirs only 2 stations in the whole town and all those rigs need gas lol.

Yeah man, thats great. Gas is still $4.15 here. I'm sure the price will climb once the dunes get really busy. I usually get gas at the the station (BP?) on the corner, after you get off 31, before you roll thru Mears. Test hill, the adrenelines flowing already. Lol!!!:woot:
