Don't worry Adam, I have a 4" tall K&N filter without a drop base, and the hood still fits on.

Pity. Your truck isn't even a rust bucket. It would be much easier to justify ditching the doors if you could see through them.

I guess you could look at it as weight savings. The hood is heavy, the top, the doors. You should look into doing a truck tailgate while you are topless for the summer too.

Ill put them back on later. But weight savings is my main goal at the moment.
And hood off is way nice for checking on stuff. I did alot of mods to this thing, it only takes that one bolt or something I may have forgotten to lead to something breaking or a fire etc...

Now that I think about it you have harnesses, it doesn't bother me much at least you have safety.
And a cage.
Im not throwing out the body parts. It just sounds like fun, and im in the process of trying to eliminate every single rattle in the rig. And I think the doors are alot of it, but this will tell me for sure.
I see your point. If you find out how to make one of these trucks not a rattle trap let me know. Rattles are the devil.
I eliminated alot of them so far. If i could just cut it down alot id be happy. I know it wont ever be perfect.
