Deuling's 1985 K5. "Restart thread on post #8415"

It does really look good. But for being like 55 degrees out, it was getting far too warm IMO

To the floor the whole time.

The girl can be replaced. Maybe with one much less self absorbed.
Im more upset about the time wasted.

Blazer is good to me. Always has been.

Sorry to hear about the breakup. You will find another.

Before getting engaged, my motto was

"Women come and go. But a man can depend on a truck."

Sorry about your girl, Dooling.

Keep your head up. Spend sometime just doing the stuff that makes you happy.

Sorry to hear about the woman.

Sounds like you have plenty of other things to keep you busy though :thumb:

Thanks dudes

Im not as sad as I thought I would be.

But the last few months basically having to beg someone for there attention, really prepares you well for the end.

I felt alone then, I feel alone now. Only difference is I dont have someone to hold at night.

But at least I dont have to work on piece of shit rangers anymore!!! :haha:

That sucks about the girl, but the plus side is your bead rolling skills are fantastic and you have that car to keep you busy and I'm sure once people see the end result from that , that Tammy more will want you to do similar projects for them.

Thanks dudes.

I bought blazer 6 years ago today. Fresh out of high school, with a summers worth of money saved up and spent on it.

Im glad I bought that piece of junk. It led me to meet so many cool people. People that give a damn.

I have had so much fun with this thing. It has been with me through many failed relationships, and many good times.

That K5 has come a LONG way in 6 years. Bitchin. Something is to be said for the connection to your high school ride. It's everlasting. Most dumped their cars from the same time, but want it back years down the road. I've kept my 69 Nova since I bought it at 15 years old. Still got it 27 years later. Brought it out to Detroit during my GM days, cruised Woodward with it and boiled more rubber off of the right rear than I did in high school. Brought it back with us to Colorado and it's in line for updating for more fun after the 91 gets to a higher level of completion. That car survived my high school stupidity (saved my life really), Girls I went out with in college and finally the one I've been married to for 20 of those years. She knows the connection I have to that car and what it means to me and even through the crap times, never once told me to sell it so we could use the money. As a matter of fact she's talked me down from wanting to sell it so I could take care of issues in the family budget after I got laid off and she went on disability. Those are the type of attributes any guy's significant other should have. That type of girl will find YOU Adam. Keep your mind open and keep on with what you are doing. I'm following you on IG and I am amazed at your beadrolling skills. You got talent for sure. Keep striving for that high level and good things will come your way. I have no doubt in that.

Your dune running makes me mad that I never ventured out of the "D" with my neighbors when they went to the dunes at Silver Lake when I was up there. Looks like fun. Hammer down dude!

What about Nates Ranger? Lol that's mean....

Sorry to hear that Adam, but you'll be fine, things happen for a reason. Better now than later. Enjoy the time to do things you want. Down the road you'll probably be glad it happened. Don't think of it as time wasted, at least you had fun in the process, even if not at the end.

And 18 gallons in 3 hours is a lot of bashing, nice! That means you probably drove almost 60 miles out there, ha ha. :waytogo:

Hoesntly, with the amount of time you're gonna have to sink in to the car interior, it might be for the best right now anyway.

I see your point from a practical get-the-car-done angle, but I remain convinced that relationships (romantic and otherwise) are important if one wants to have a balanced life.

Just look at how much I've gotten done on my truck since getting married! I...err...umm...think I've changed oil at least once since then. :wink1: :haha: :rotfl:
