He has collecting springs and making a custom pack to suit his specific needs.
If you want to do it on the cheap you can go to the junkyard and get some, then change the bushings and clean them up. That's a lot of work tho..
I got my 2 1/2" lifted springs (all 4 and no blocks) with shocks for around $500.
Why are they so nice and can I get smooth performance on the dunes with some springs like that? Or is a leaf spring a leaf spring as far as bumps? I wouldnt wanna be jumping and hauling A$$ with these either, just a smoother less back jarring ride, unless alot can be done with leafs.... Idk I cant find much on custom leafs is why im asking.

Smoooothe... Yeah, I wish I would have done the bilsteins. but I went with the cheapest ORD had instead. Not bad but they could be better.
. I noticed a difference for sure but not crazy big. Ill prolly install the lift, and my current shocks should be long enough to run for a lil bit.
Ok guys i been tinkin about what I need to do with this thing, it def needs to be lifted and more funnerer, but i mean come on im in college right now and i cant drop 5-6k or more on that whole coil setup I WILL HAVE COILS IN ALL 4 CORNERS EVENTUALLY MARK MY WORDS!!! But right now whats the best alternative, how responsive and well performing can a set of custom lift springs be?? And how much $$$ do they run, matched with some nice shocks what would I be looking at? I guess im just considering my options for the moment, as all my buddies are jackin there trucks up soon and im gonna be the only one with a stock ride ( I dont want it real high, but a better ride really cuz my springs suck...) what are costs I guess is what I wanna know?

its not that bad, and sand is pretty forgiving. I dont think you guys realize how easy I go on my truck lol. And if I break the exhaust then that just means I can have it brought somewhere and done right, exhaust is not my thing I have come to realize lol. For how cheap exhaust shops are ill bring it in next time.Anything custom built is going to be nicer than something mass produced.
Tuff countrys or BDS springs are typically considered the smoothest riding springs and the trucks I have ridden in or had I would agree with this.
I have superlifts on the Jimmy, its not bad, but I think tuff countrys or BDS would probably ride smoother.
Beyond the leaf springs Adam don't cheap out on shocks, they are important. Easy and cheap to extend your shock towers with some Ford shock towers, easy and cheap to relocate you stock upper shackle hanger ( front) forward like Dave did on his. Don't have enough money for a shackle flip get to building one yourself, Blocks in the back are fine for now if you can't afford springs or a flip.
They key is doing little things like moving axles around ( you don't need zero rates just a drill), getting a good ( not the best) shock, extended you towers, new bushings, stronger shackles etc.
Spend what you can and then optimize those
