Couldnt get the vids I was gonna due to snow:confused: Road just looks white, cant get a good look at the terrain.

Lift springs will ride worse than your stock rear springs with a shackle flip.
 
Idk according to shady the alcans ride better than the stock springs. My stock springs feel like um driving a concrete brick through mordor........ :D
 
That tends to be the way of short wheel base, straight axle trucks though. No lifted truck rides great AND handles safely without a swaybar (relatively speaking. I agree with the guys saying shackle flip, front springs and good shocks. :thumb:
 
From what I gather you and I wheel similar dunes. Stay away from superlift, I used to have 8" superlift springs front and back, now I have 4" superlifts up front and they are better but still stiff. You dont need lifts and big tires to play in the sand. The fastest trucks I've ever seen in the dunes were stock height or only a couple inches higher.
You keep tossing out Alcans as if you're even comparing something similar. Alcans are in a whole new league of quality, ride and more importantly price. I vote leave it stock if your only option now is superlift.
 
I had 2" superlifts on the k20 before. They are stiff but they aren't much worse than stock.
 
Adam, you rode in the Maiden, did we go full throttle down the straightaway with the whoops in it? I think it handles those pretty good, along with the Timbrens. I need to put another leaf or two in the back pack, but overall I would say it rides pretty smooth compared to other solid axles I've ridding in. If you think links may be in the next couple years I would go with the kit you can get a good deal on...keep it 4" if your running 35's or less though. You have to realize it ain't gonna be able to haul ass across all those whoops like a high dollar buddy right?

Specs on the rims? I've got 33's on mine and they fit well.
 
They are the mickey classic locks, they are 33.12.5 tires on 15 rims, idk what the backspacing is, I wont be buying the rims from him, just the tires, it was late, we thought it would be funny. Ill be running some gm rallies, ive got 2 need 2 more and beaty rings and see if my caps on my wheels will fit on them. :waytogo:
