Used, I got 3 of them for $300. They were in a 3 seater Colorado Sand Cars rail. Hence the Colorado Sand Car embroidery on the seats.

The important thing in my mind is, when do you think you will make it to the dunes, Adam? I know you gotta be antsy!
I think the seats in my buggy have been repaired at least twice now. Both times were after significant "events" but none the less they did break. Keep in mind also my seat frames are now 12 years old too.
The seat frame is built from something like 3/4"x.065 wall cheese dick tubing. The basic seat frame is good for what it needs to do and that is contain your ass. The seat belts are what holds your ass into the seat and by default the seat into the vehicle. I like to think of the seat as something to sit in and the belts as the device that makes sure you stay sitting in the seat.
Here's the bottom line;
Your going to have an event in this vehicle at some point. There is no way to say how big that event will be, maybe it's a simple flop, maybe it's a big tumble or a head on. When that happens you want the fewest things to go wrong so that the end out come it ok. Now is the shoulder belt angle/mounting height going to kill you, probably not, it may? cause future back issues and it may not. To say this is a big deal is honestly splitting hairs IN THIS CASE. If this was a tube buggy with big horse power my opinion would be different but my gut feeling is that while not correct your risk factor is low in this one, but it isn't right at the end of the conversation. It's up to you to decide about changing it or not.
FYI most of the times I have rolled have been in recreational wheeling and with lap belts only. I only have one flop in a race to my credit and it was into soft dirt on the side of a jump. My brother has a few big events to his credit and those have resulted in repairs to the vehicle. One cartwheel event had him and the co-dog not wearing head and neck restraints and they were lucky to just walk away. The other he and my dad were fully equipped and said it was basically just watch the dirt and sky go by.

You might look at Wades point about the seat being too short for you. You can run the shoulder straps over the top of the seat and not in the slots. Just keep in mind that your catering to a "variety" of sizes and what works for you won't work for someone shorter or rounder. I guess that's where as close to right as possible comes into play.
This is the reason I went with low back buckets with a separate head rest. Tall dudes just don't fit in a bucket seat correctly.
Made good use of the stock spare mount. By hacking it to pieces....
Its got adustment for height in the mount. And i moved the tire in a bit from the side, so I have room for a bigger tire later. Or a smaller one... Yah right lol

Are you going to have to unload the tire to get at the bottle for refills?
Nope. Just remove a lock and pop the clamps off and the bottle will slide out.
I checked also, and it reaches all the tires from this position
But even if I did need to remove the tire, it only takes a few seconds. No special tools etc.
Also it wont be something I gotta do all the time. The tank should be good for at least 24 tire refills from 10 psi to 30 psi.

Don't you normally want to leave the valve on the tank higher than the bottom? Or is that just an air tank and not CO2?
