it'll make no difference, but the rigidity of being fully caged to the frame is the big payoff.
Yup. To actually "pivot" It would need to actually rip sheet metal to allow the upper plate to move in the arc of the bushing. Daves is set up with the bushing on the frame, and I for one can say for a fact, it doesnt pivot
...For me, I have more room at the floor for the bushings, than at the locations im tying to frame. So i decided I this would work just fine.
Tonight I snuck in the driver side C pillar tie in. 2 down, 4 to go.


Here you can see the wicked awesome frame straightening job someone did in the past, which appears to have involved a torch and a ball peen hammer......
