Deuling's 1985 K5. "Restart thread on post #8415"

I like it the way you have it now. I think the tubes running into the grill turned out rather well.

Besides that, I think if you'd have left it like this the jawhorse would have caused a lot of drag in the sand. :)

Cool.

Ill just leave it. Maybe ill get it finished up this weekend. Gonna do an engine cross bar, then tie the bumper tubes into the base of that and the shock mounts.

Oh now I see what the whistle was for. That will look good. I can't wait to get an erection from the dimples.

It's ok Greg. Dimple boners are not something to be ashamed of.

I purposely made a dead node here. I figure if I really hit something that doesn't give, the engine cross bar will get bent back before my shock mounts, and allow for something to move. The back side of the shock hoops tie into the cage.

Flush!!!!

Looking good man! Just one question:
I see the discos between the bumper tubes and the engine cross-over tube, so the bumper is removable, but did you make it so you have to cut that tube off or remove your shock mounts in order to get the engine out?

Portaban and a few seconds and the engine bar will come out. I'll weld flanges on when the time comes

Well you were going for old school desert truck.

The truss the bumper and the fact that's its an 80d Blazer knocks that one outta the park.

Very old school racerish looking.

I like the overall look it's getting too
