Deulings 1988 Yamaha Warrior; Paddles Mounted/ Silver lake Pics

I need to to put a new plug, charge the battery, and put some new fuel in mine and maybe take it to the shop. Thing runs great all day then you try and start it and no go. Turns over but never starts. The previous owner either never had the pull start or took it off.

Started it at home once then loaded it on the trailer drove to the trailhead unloaded it and no go.

I would take the plug out, the one mine came with had almost no gap on it and it ran really bad, did that and air filter and ran half a bottle of seafoam through the brown gas that was in it with some new and it runs like a bat outa h3ll!!!

nice buy looks like its in pretty good shape. the warriors dont realy respond well to mods. id say a pipe and filter would give you some better throttle response. havent looked in a while but i think you can get slip on silencers for them cheaper than a full exhaust.

and since were talking about fourwheelers hes mine.

Nice!!! I like the oil cooler!! I may do that idk yet, doesnt seem to run too hot but it was only 54* out today lol.

We went up to Silver Lake today, didnt get too many pics, it was pretty dead their because of the cold and rain. It did stop raining just as we pulled in and didnt start again till we left!! The quad ran great, climbed every hill up their fine, well till I ran out of gas...:doah: Thank god for reserve tanks!!! The reserve lasted from the beach back to the truck then she sputtered out and died. PHEWW!!!! :thumb:

Oh YOU GOT IT BUDDY!!!!:thumb:

It honestly does great, I cant keep up with my buddies Bike, but since his is about 20 years newer..... Lol. Ive been having a blast! Caught some air today, the sand dunes were nice and peaky so with just the right speed you can jump them but not get to crazy high and out of control, and have a nice smooth landing on the backside.

The tie rod ends seem to be holding up ok. I imagine since im on sand which is soft to begin with, and the fact that I have to let the tires down to near 0 psi to actually have some control in the sand that those 2 factors help alot with absorbing some of the blows to the quad.

Headin up to Silver Lake next weekend to go camping with a bunch of friends and enjoy a weekend of relaxation and riding the dunes. I got Thursday through Monday off of work so I cant wait!!!:thumb:

Here is my 93 warrior.

Bought it for a 150 bucks in pieces, I race motocross on dirt bikes so quads aren't my thing but i couldn't pass it up.

Just picked up the paddles. They are pretty slick. The rims are universal style with 2 bolt patterns. Dude said he paid $75 a piece for the rims. I got everything for $75. They hold air, rubber looks nice, and my lady even likes em:waytogo:

when you get out with the paddles more, you'll figure out what front sprocket you like. I recommend going more teeth with a warrior, cause the gears are so damn close to each other. That gear would be even better matched with an 11:1 JE and Hot or Web cam :)

All in due time buddy lol. Idk what everyones big deal is with not putting any upgrades on these. I love this thing. I think its sweet being all retro from the 80's, and it just looks so much different from the 400hondas and the banshees you see EVERYWHERE on the dunes. But im not gonna do any mods till I break something of importance.

Man ive put prolly 20 hours on this thing since I got it, and the oil was just changed before I got it and its still gold:eek1:. It also hasnt burnt any, must be a good motor I suppose.
