got this from a member year or so ago. getting it ready to install in my build when i get better. figure with lots of free time and can get the layout done and set. even do the wiring i guess cause its easy.

so what do you guys think ?

before pics like i got it. first 3 pics

next set 5 pics new setup.

last 5 pics is lower panel section.

and yes i took the time to draw the gauge stuff for fun !

the air gauge in the arb section has 2 needles. so it will be 1 for front and 1 for rear .

Nice.....:waytogo:

I gotta get one of them there dashes...

edit: did you make the instrument panel larger???

yes added 2 gauges 1 per corner look at old orignal pic and new layout. you will see. otherwise its all diy4x orignal.

ya its a b!tch tho. stuff changin all the time :haha:

i got all the gauges tho still. just got to get fuel pressure and air pressure for main dash area.

You may need to see if the Garmin will work mounted inside the dash. Usually it isn't a big deal, but some of the internal antennas cannot handle that kind of hidden mount. In many cases they require a line of sight to the sky and I don't know if it will work like that, but I could be wrong.

I like the overall layout. I would love to have one of Kert's dashes.

its will be flat mounted. not flush mounted in the dash. just flat outside.

but thanks for the watchout info.

Looks good to me. Can't wait to get my diy4x dash installed. Got a long way to go before I get there. Until then it will just collect dust !

No the 255 does not have an external antenna connection, only the high end Garmins do.

Good to hear sweetk30, I just didn't want you to find out it didn't work with all the work you are doing.

ya i figured as it dosnt work in my basement :haha:

and thay dont offer a flush mount kit for it. :doah:

so i will just do a flat mount and stick it or small bolt it to the spot i want.

my little Garmin gps (for camping) works great inside my blazer. I use it for a speedo, or at least to say I have a speedo. :) My Garmin was only 90 bucks and doesn't do maps, but does waypoints, speed, distance, altitude, and long/ lat points. It's more for my quad.

Better open the pocket book and hit the robbery station. That 3/8ths tank isn't going very far :flipoff7:

Looks good. :D
