DJz Blazer

You can run 35's on the street without cutting anything and moving the axles a bit with even a 4" lift. I wheeled offRoad a decent amount in Moab like that a few times. Once I got 37's, I had to start clearance from the fenders to do anything other than street driving. Flexy springs might require more trimming than that though.

So I started tearing out old moldy insulation from behind the dash.... Hour later I was going to finish up and quickly install my new battery tray... So, to get to the bolts for the tray I had to move the radiator. After moving the radiator I realized I had to do the heater core. So I removed the radiator. Which needs to be rotted out and pressure tested. While the radiator is out I can get to the body mounts. Do hoses, T-stat, belts, power steering hoses. Since I'm doing the heater core, I have to remove the inner fender. While that's down might as well do the motor, trans and transfer case mounts. That's one very involved battery tray....

Well, I get the donor Blazer this weekend. It's a 76, are the rear axle perches different?
The front 60 should bolt right up??
Do I want the doubler? I really plan on never doing anything to wild. I do have one friend that might take me places I don't want to be but he has a van so I should be able to suck it up. Although he did run the KOH qualifying coarse last year..

It should never have mice problems again living in the garage. But I did order up a screen for it. I need to figure out a nice air filter for the fresh air intake for dusty trails.
Also have a AC delete heater box coming to give me more room in the engine compartment.

Had a slow weekend.

Spent Friday breaking beads and tearing down tires.

Saturday I figured out that without major mods the new AC delete kit wont work.
So I will put the factory heater/AC box back in for now with no AC condenser.
Spent Saturday cleaning all the rat pee out of all the factory stuff. Then painted some of it that had rust.

Sunday was front brake lines and motor mounts, with lots of rusted nuts and bolts...

Got them done though.
