Do check me out. Lights good! Now no start :(

The solenoid that you photographed is what an '84 6.2 truck should have running its glow plugs. Are you saying the Jimmy's solenoid is smaller? Or that there's a second (smaller) one on this truck?

Jimmys is totally different

I'm guessing that I have a wiring issue with my starter or the wiring.

But if I crawl under the rig I might not be able to stand back up.

So it will sit till my head feels better.

It's not the fusible link either I checked it voltage on both sides

Did you check the connections at the passenger side battery? And the chassis ground? Those are easy things to check before you go hugging the front driveshaft.

Edit - looks like I cross-posted.

Yes.

Power at the battery.

Power down the cable on both sides.

It's regardless of key position

If you can,try jumping the starter solenoid with a screwdriver and see if it'll crank over--if it does, then you know the starter works, and the battery connections are OK..and it'll be a wiring problem in the wire(s) that power the cab & ignition switch....remember,burnt out fuse links can sometimes still show as "good" in a voltage reading,it is AMPS that they cant deliver that will not allow things to work...

I know of no easy way to "load test" one,but by-passing them with a jumper wire from the battery + to the firewall junction block will tell if the fusible link fried--but be careful,if there was a dead short, using a jumper will let things fry more!..

Yah I can't right now.

I'll feel better tomorrow been doing some stuff today so it's expected not to feel awesome in the evening.

On the bright side my wife is bringing me Panda Express!!!!

Unfortunately she won't get here till 11ish

So got it started. Undid some stuff did it back up. Nothing seem at issue. Couple of slightly loose things but voltage was reading fine everywhere.

Pretty sure I got some bad battery cables cause that is the only thing I really moved around.

So it runs after some wiggling and hitting
