That bracket is actually pretty cool. Glad that got sentMust be a new addition. Mine didn't have that. Or the special this month.
They make all sorts of kits. If you went with one before you did a build, you’d just have to match the heads back to the intake in terms of bolt patternI want one badly. But I think I need either vortec or Edelbrock heads first?
Edit: Oh yeah, and money
I'm still in the process of finalizing all the details on my ProFlo 4 setup but so far I like the Edelbrock MPFI. I had to screw with the linkage bracket and drill another hole. The throttle body is cast and not billet like previous systems I've seen before. The wiring harness is well made, the instructions are simple. The injectors look to be LS2 shorter style. LS1 and LT1 are longer and won't fit. The ECU is not designed to handle any boost but I wonder if a custom tune could be done if you ever wanted to. It does not control the transmission like others like Haltech can. The intake manifold is ok. My single plane Procomp EFI manifold seemed to slightly larger on the ports. Its hard to beat the price when you want a plug and play system that will work with most engines and has the all the features. I did not get the tablet since I have a couple Samsung Note phones and something smaller might be easier to fit on the dash. The gauge layout looks nice to have on the phone while driving and have it be dedicated to the vehicle to monitor vitals. You can download the app for free if you want to play around with the software and there's a demo mode. Looking forward to getting the engine started.
Few videos out there like this one that shows some details
I think if I had to buy it again, I might opt for the other system which is the same price. It has a higher flowing throttle body and I read this intake flows pretty well.

Part number 8041
Not intentionally but I come by it naturallyYeah I noticed you had the part # covered in the pic. Figured you were being, difficult

You don't have to know the exact specifications of the cam, just the duration in a range. It asks what vacuum range as well as general build. So I believe that you can get it running with one configuration, then change it later without any more than resetting the base map.I got to thinking if I get around to spending this kind of $$$$. Then I should probably not order one for an engine of unknown origin. Sure the 350 in my '78 runs great but I bought it without the history on it. I don't even know what size cam is in it, just that a cam was put in it. I have a sb400 that ran great when I pulled it a couple months ago. Might take me a long time but why not build it. Thinking put heads with better flow because wouldn't that help a sb400 a little with cooling issues? A 400 with heads and proflow![]()
