Entertain Us - 400 sbc question

Small hijack. I want to throw some decent heads and a retrofit roller cam in mine. Does t take much to make me happy...lol
I have a retro roller in my 406 under the hood of my '72 C10. I put a set of SR torquer heads on it when I did the cam.
I found a small cam from Herbert back in the late nineties that gave good low end and midrange power and still idles dead smooth. 18" of vacuum at 4700'. Very responsive throttle.

Should’ve done a lot years ago , but here we are.
Throw them up for sale! They are more rare nowadays! Ya never know!
I had a guy wanting the spare one that I have month for $200. But I didn't want to sell it to a friend before we opened it up. Too busy for that right now..
And he still has a few engines to build before he's ready.

One of them is , bunch of flakes . I get the wholesome is this available then two or three stupid questions that could be answered if they could read , and then nothing.

So the sb 400 that came in the Monte's should have had better breathing heads then the truck and waggie offerings, no ?

So I take it you’ve all never saw the L-92 400 sbc they put in Corvettes from 68-71?
It started out @ 380hp/430tq. Ended up at SAE net 270/360 by 71.

They have to make Corvettes go fast, it's their flagship car.
Except for the late 70's
The late 70's was like the lebrea tar pits for autos...
