FarSoCal and AZ

looks like you guys had a good time, when I get back from work weather will be better and I definately will be ready to "learn" to wheel. :D

If your truck is not fixed by the time I get back, we can wheel the hell out of mine :D . I haven't seen what she can do, I have mostly done Glamis..........

Thanks man...that's what i figured (that it had to do with model designation) and my brother confirmed it.

Hey all...bumpin' this back up (ok?) to kinda keep tabs on my fellow SoCalers. I've been hunting around on CK5 and SoCalBigDawgs.com for others in our area...any news? Shall we start planning a run? I don't think i'll be here end of August but my brother will. Roz and I enjoyed Corral Canyon. Hard and easy trails.

I'm still waiting to go back to work. I was supposed to leave last week but plans were delayed. I can't do anything until I go and come back from work because I need the $$$ to fix my truck. Can't wait to go and return so we can hook up and ride.....

anyone wanna see in-ko-pah? pix of it in my album. might be a little warm

can bring the wife/kids to the desert view tower and indian caves. it's cool!

Went wheeling with Roz agin. This story has a moral.

Went up to In-Ko-Pah. Got up to the top of the mntn with the mine caves, and smelled gas...dripping off the bottom of the engine...turns out the truck had a hi-flow fuel pump, which has about a 2" deep canister (vs the stock 3/4") which put it smack against the Xmember (which has a crack, we'll have to replace it with a beefy one). One of the hose clamp screws was between the Xmember and the canister - poked a hole in it due to the engine mount on that side being loose -doh! Tried to get a little chunk of rubber in there to stop the leak, but there was absolutely no room in there to get anything in. While we were messing with it some nice guys came up in a Mule and a J**p. We ended driving it down to my parents house in Jacumba (shady driveway to work in, it was hot out on the mntns) and my dear sweet kind little brother brought us a new standard pump from El Centro, and tools to swap it out. I'll have pix up later, but the moral of the story is "Don't use a hi-flow pump in yer truck!". Oh and a 1/2" NF nut works for a locknut on a 7/16 NC bolt. Least I think that's what we used for the motor mount :D

Another SD fool!

:QUOTE: I lived in the Mira Mesa area and the North County Area here in san diego.. Also in Sacramento Claiforni for a couple years.

My other vehicle is a 93 CBR600 Honda -- street bike

Is it mostly all desert stuff around here.. or are there any forest areas as well? :QUOTE:

I lived in Woodland for a year....Tex for a year too.

Mostly desert/desert mountains...the mountains are mostly bumpy roads with nice views...the desert has lots of different wheeling, more hardcore stuff. See my photo album.

If ya don't trust yer rig, you cna still come out and ride along with someone...and maybe we'll get some wrenching sessions going on too. :D

It runs pretty good.. but I worry that something will just go out on it.. I don't have any money right now to fix something major going out.. and that is the bad thing about these rigs -- everything is sooo expensive. :eek1: It's worth it though. :D

I am wondering if it might be possible to take my CBR engine and convert it to a quad off-road/on-road vehicle... I don't know if it is remotely possible.. but sounds like fun.. :D

Looks like a cool site! :D Do any of hem use motorcycle engines in them I wonder... hmmm?

I was thinking of taking some small car axles.. making a quad style vehicle.. and finding some electric motors and making it hybrid.. then you could spin it on a dime! And have tons of torque to help out the street bike motor.. just fantasies and dreams. :D

Also.. it would be a precursor to making my Blazer a hybrid electric like this..
