Fixing my K5 impulse buy

My impulse buy 84 K5, definitely need help.
those Rugged Trail shocks are old. they went out of business a long time ago. they sold to Warn, who had a Black Diamond lift kit line for a while.

Ah good ole sport kings. Those were the shit back in high school from the old Farm and Fleet. Mud kings were always cooler though. If I remember right I think they are an off brand from Goodyear. The other go to was the widetrack radial baja.

Vintage hose clamps, antifreeze is drained why not put replace the heater and radiator hoses. when taking the heater hoses off I noticed the heater core pipe was collapsed so new heater core. I fished the hose barb for the overflow out of the radiator.:dunno: < A lot of that with this project. Antifreeze looks pretty decent just not much of it. One lock out hub looks a little rough, beautiful sunny day to take parts off a suburban in the woods :waytogo:

Front and rear differentials are drained, refilled and painted the covers, cute little things. That would be the only thing I put together.

In our area fleet farm is making a comeback and has a great selection of tools and miscellaneous automotive items.

I always got a kick out of the fact that there was Blain's Farm and Fleet and there was also Fleet Farm.

Me too. Especially after moving from Blain territory to Mills territory. To an outsider, they're the same store. To the right kind of cheesehead, it's a highly contentious issue.

:haha:

Kinda fun to put it together instead of taking it apart. I replaced the short Orange vacuum line that was disconnected and dry inside the box. Did a hack repair on the broken control cable. New hoses and filled with fresh antifreeze.

Cool the parts store could turn the drums and disk for $20 each. new rear brake drum at local parts store for this little turd is $90, probably one of the many reasons to convert to a Corp 14 with disk.

Yeah I have been getting a lot of parts there, probably came out ahead buying the calipers locally because of the core. I didn't use the CK5 discount. You would think that would be automatic when buying parts for a K5. :rotfl:
