Somewhat but it is more to allow a longer spring, more arch which translates into wheeltravel. The other thing about this is the spring when fully compressed should be less likely to go beyond flat and invert which kills leafs and isn't ideal.
The next race is the San Filipe 250
 
I blew the fuel call. I figured on 3 to 4 mpg, not 2 to 3 mpg. I had no brakes when I ran out of gas, so in some respects it might have saved us. We put in a new rear brake hose in after the flat tire killed the original. It's no fun driving in rocks without brakes.
 
So what's on the "to do" list before the next race? More bug fixes or are you guys looking at major fixes?
