Freddy 94 nv 3500 2x4 Cheep beater.

We bought this thing as a winter beater, drive to work and collage for my son Colby.
500 bucks, nv3500 with 350 and 14 bolt, half ton 2500.

Clutch linkage has been messed with and won’t shift, first thing we need to do is get the rod from the peddle to the master back to stock.

Anyone know if I can buy just the rod or know what the stock length and configuration looks like. Does the rod just simply sit in the master cylinder. Because this one just fell on the floor boards. Lol!

The rod should be attached to the master by a type of crimp style deal if i remember correctly. I've got 5 or 6 of them at least. Pm on the way.

It appears the rod kinda clicks in. If you look in the hole at aprox 5 and 11 o clock you can see the release tangs.

Edit: nevermind I see it's just the pushrod to the MC.

What is suppose to hold the rod in there? I took the master off to see better. There is just a smooth bore, no clip?

Pictures on google are confusing, and the one on the 4500 truck mounts to peddle different than this one.
The 4500 truck goes through the peddle and this one has a stud that it goes over.

I do. It seems like I have a few different styles but I never messed with 3500s, only 4500s. I do know some have a built in reservoir and some have the remote reservoir. Sorry I got home too late tonight to dig any out. I will see what I can come up with tomorrow night.

Don’t go out of you way looking. More than likely I’ll have to get a new master anyway.
And Im betting it needs a clutch or whatever we find when we get to it.

We said heck with it and ordered a new master and slave all it one kit.
And a Luk 12” clutch, pressure plate throw out bearing and pilot.

Haven’t even pulled it apart yet but a fresh start should be a quicker way to get in on the road.

Parts are suppose to be here next week.

Found out why it wouldn’t shift. The clutch fork is screwed we’re it sits on the fork ball. The ball is worn and loose in the trans. And the clutch disc is almost down to the rivets.
We have all new parts for it and Colby’s buddy gave us a NV 3500 trans. It has a good clutch fork ball that is tight in the housing so we are going to use that transmission.

Got it going this afternoon. The trans shifts great. I’m happy with it!
