Tube for sure so much easier and you don't have to compromise much, I have done both its tube all the way, ditch the whole core support

Cool. That's what I needed. Got any pics of the new tube radiator attachment? I need some ideas on how to attach everything.
I haven't done mine but on my buddys we cut a little bit off the core support and welded it onto the tube work. Still uses the stock rubber cushions top is the same just some tabs welded onto the tube to use the stock upper mounts.

Tore apart the front end and started laying some tube.

Started cutting the fenders and found this to be the more difficult thing to do. I searched tons of photos but a lot just force and bend them in. That was not my plan, I wanted to keep the top edge of fender straight.

I never could find good pics of the inside fenders of all the narrow jobs I looked at. So here some are. I split a lot of stock welds at the top of fender and this allowed me to bolt the fender down. Then, it folds over the top bolt to bring it in a whole lot more.

Some how in my search I found someone that did something like this and it was NOT a good idea. too much work to clean the cuts up and it just folded at that point. DONT TRY IT THIS WAY unless you like a crappy job.

ok I kinda feel like some more tube on the inside lining of the fenders for some added protection and a light mount area. What you do you guys think? go with the tube or just forget it. any ideas?
Add the tube, that way when we go out this summer and smash the heck out of those fancy fenders you're spending so much time on they will only crumple into the tube out there and not all the way to the engine cage.

Thats kinda what I was thinking
I think when I work my way up front on mine it'll get a cut and narrowed hood and some tube fenders like a j**p. I just smash into stuff too much to justify actual sheet metal anymore.

Well people Im stuck. Cant figure out what to do. Couple more options to think about. The loop would get a light in it and the straight tube would get a plate to attach the fender to. I would probably make it detachable so I could run without fenders if I wanted at some point. What the hell should I do? opinions??

This is what I came up with. The tubes will be able to take off and on if I decide to run without fenders someday. Finally coming together.
