Yeah AJMBlazer that 1st gen is sick... this summer I met up w/ the ORU guys when they were at Pismo (by chance) and was able to check out the rig...its SICK.

After working on our rigs again now that I'm back in Cali I'm really itching to tear my k10 down and start a full blown build up since I'll have the crew cab to DD in about two weeks...

i just ordered the hydo kit for my bender today. hope to get started on my blazer in the next couple months. ive got 3 other projects to do as well. and all of them need alot of money to do lol.
When you get started be sure to start a thread for the projects...

whew so I just finished reading the second half of this thread. lots of cool stuff.
about the stupid duty 2500hd thing....its the same here thing in Bakersfield. it kills me to see a brand new truck, dual fox shocks, 10in lift, all for a nice rig to cruise along the beach at pismo and tow a pretty toy hauler. with all that money into it I could easily accomplish my dream build and have something that does just about everything I would want.
oh well, but I would like something along the lines of the pre mudder or ORU gen I blazer. The pic or Larry Ragland's prerunner blazer early on in the thread is awesome! I'm trying my best to make my build something along the lines of precrawler with the goal of having fun at Oceano and keeping up with my jeep buddies on the trail (just doesnt happen with IFS). Eventually we may use it as a chase truck for Jeepspeed. I did manage to get brand new rear deavers never mounted from a guy nearby and some used coilovers for the front. I'm thinking jounceshocks would be nice for go fast stuff when I have some spare cash.
btw got my wisdom teeth out so I'm doing lots of sitting around today. before it happened I went to 4wheelparts and got some cool dvds with all the prerunner/MDR/SCORE stuff to watch. I'm hooked on the go fast scene now

Oh and that ORU first gen is incredible... they are out in Pismo from time to time so keep your eyes open. Last time I was out they had it sitting next to their k3500 duramax and I got to check them out...

Just got back from the dunes(pismo). Its been raining for two days and the sand is soaked. no need for 4x4 or prerunner your grandma's Ford Tempo would do just fine

I'm getting excited for my next trip... I might not be able to wait until I build a pre-runner. I'm thinking 52's up front w/ the B52 kit and 56's out back w/ a shackle flip on the "wrong" side and some 35's like you guys suggested and I'm on my way! haha
