So I have always wanted a GM Gbody , particularly a Cutlass or a Regal .

I want to find a clean unmolested car , stock as can be , engine and trans don’t matter but a clean body and nice interior are what I’m wanting .

I have a 6.0/4L80E I was saving for my 66 Nova but now that car is gone () I basically want to build a really nice summer time daily driver
Comfort and Highway cruise-ability will be the major players .


What are theses cars going for now? I’m looking at buying something closer to summer but I’m gonna start looking now . Basically looking for a Western Car , Texas , Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, California,

Like everything else, prices are getting stupid. At least my area they are. Rust killed majority of them, and the rest went to dirt street stock cars. I had a tough time selling my car that was more rare than a GN or possibly a GNX. But most called them junk or worthless. But a 79 Malibu factory 4-speed, power sky roof, black buckets, full center console, tach dash with clock, F-41 suspension, (SS basically) and some other stuff but can't remember. The numbers of the 4-speed and roof is what made it rare. Only 1200 or so stick, and 800-ish with the roof, but no numbers with those combined. I had a nice 454 in it, and still hard time selling it.

Going for a lot. But I understand, my 87 gn is probably the only car I regret selling.

Going for a lot. But I understand, my 87 gn is probably the only car I regret selling.

My budget is going to be around 7500.00 ish for the right car. I would think/hope I could find the right car for that.

That should be plenty for a nice regal or cutlass if you're gonna pull the engine I wouldn't shell out the extra$ for a GN tho

Yeah , I would Not my first choice , I’m looking for kind of luxury ride though . Malibu’s always seem to be more base modelish in my limited experience.

There's always the 4 door versions too. Perfect sleeper then.

There are still a decent amount of them around here , some have 13 inch wires on them though.
