Couple of thoughts, with the link only being mounted on top of the axle and with u bolts that is going to put a tremendous amount of stress on the mounting points. I think the u bolts can take it but I would make sure to check them often for the first little while.
You might want to box in where the bar sits on the axle, with that stress I could see that starting to collapse on itself, enough to at least loosen the u bolts, then if you don't catch it, your losing your link going down the road.
The other thing is the panhard mounted on the link.
I have my hydro assist mounted on one side to my u bolt plate. I have to tighten thos u bolts every now and again and I can see the amount of stress itchin creates is substantial. I actually just replace those u bolts every couple of years.

Not saying that what you have won't work just watch all the u bolts closely right now and box in those for lack of a better word perches.
