I was given $90 in Home Depot gift cards for my 60 leveling up. I had no idea what I was going to spend it on. All tools are ran through the business and are never "used for personal use". I needed to clean out some snap inserts for a couple of push on, push off switches in Fugly. So I bought this. I have not owned one in 20+ years.

I had $3.35 left over, I did not buy candy with it.
Don't even have to use a funnel for that one, nice!Picked up this for $80 Saturday,, wasn't looking for it but it was a deal and only 10 minutes from my house so I snagged it. A new hose and nozzle and it should work good as new. A new one of the same thing from ALC is $800.

Thanks, I noticed the same thing when I saw it, not a typical one made out of what looks like a propane tank. This one holds 90-100 lbs of material with built in funnel. Has a large spring loaded ball valve lever at the nozzle. I found a brand new blast hose for $60 and the nozzles are about $15 a piece. Just need a cloth face hood, my blast cabinet doesn't require a face hood, but it also can't fit large stuff obviously. Though I might buy a few extra feet longer hose at $6 a foot, maybe 12 or 14 feet instead of just 10 ft like stock. The hose on it is all cracked from age.

I saw one of those at work and was like you. Said what a gimmick. I might have to try some. Not much of an upgrade, but they really work. So much time saved. About 20 holes drilled and tapped in a few minutes. Through Aluminum panel into 11ga steel 1x2.
I was at HD looking at them. $25 for this kit. I have seen others advertised, but it looked like snake oil. So I never pulled the trigger.
Milwaukee rep was setting up a display. He walked over and asked what I was looking for. I told him my reservations about the coin for something that does not look like it would work.
He told me to wait at his truck when I was done getting my stuff.
I wanted a couple of minutes. He opens the back, digs around and handed me this set and a single 1/4-20. Said "toss them if I'm not happy. I guarantee you will not toss them".
I will buy more and recommend them. They have their place.View attachment 441272
That is why the 1/4" max material, I assume. You can tell by the short design, if the thread portion catches before the tip of the drill is through, something is going to break, or it will ruin the thread start. But if they made it long it may have clearance issues, and having 1" more capacity would require a 2" longer bit.
