Got any cool tools lately?

A month ago a friend of mine was moving to Florida and needed to clear his shop to sell.
He asked me what I wanted to take.
I ended up with these, MIG 170 ,plasma cutter 250 and a stick welder not pictured here because for some reason all my tools or inserting pictures or anything are dim and not active.
They each came with a rolling cart and to power them all, I got a 10kw gas generator .
I also got a 1993 454, rebuilt with a roller cam and roller rockers.
Also got the 4l80E and np241 with it.
To move the engine I got a heavy duty engine stand and an engine lift.

I also ended up with some loading equipment and supplies, powder, lead and even brass.20240813_095354.jpg20240813_095449.jpg

Ordered this on Amazon yesterday. I needed some nut zerts but only had one of the size I needed so I got online to order more and decided I wanted to try another style of installer. I have two of the hand rivet style but can never figure out how to use them without adding washers to make them tight. This thing worked great.

I discovered rivnuts when I worked for Kenworth only I was spoiled from the get go using pneumatic and cordless tooling. I have one similar to that and a riveter style but I'm going to get a pneumatic or cordless.

@doubletrouble i have that exact tool and it’s great!

Prior to buying I read that you need to quit when the insert is crushed not when the handles are completely closed. If you pushed too far passed the crush the mandrel can break off. My non thinking inner self struggles with wanting to do it fast and go until the handles are closed. :rotfl:

I’m bad about only wanting to buy name brand tools, so Amazon makes it hard but I needed something fast. We had some Astro tools back when I was doing auto body.
Luckily I quickly read through the instructions and figured out to only go till the rivnut was tight. It did take a minute to figure out to pull the collar back for the fixture to go in properly.

Yeah, my dad did that. I think he broke off two or three of those #10 inserts before he got the hang of it.
