Got any cool tools lately?

I don't like the position of these legs., so when I shorten it, they're getting moved in a bit.
I want like 6-8" of table hang over outside the legs.

That way I'm not smacking my knee on legs or the shelf.

You do remember my LIFE TABLE build a few years ago with 1" plate

There is nothing better than a solid metal fab table tho for sure .

I built a 5x9 3/4" thick one when I was 20 for my boss. 4x4x1/4 frame.
Turned out to be my table there because after building it I became the lead fabricator. Lol.
Built a lot of cool chit on that table.
Wanted a smaller version ever since.
But didn't really get serious about wanting one till I bought my shop.

I don't like overhang like that because you put something really heavy on the corner and start pounding on it and you could flip the table on yourself or bend the corner.

I think 6" overhang on a 3' wide table is acceptable.
More than that maybe not

It weighs so much I'm not sure I could flip it by hand right now. I'd have to put a car on the corner lol.

But yeah I'll go by the table and not my exact wants.
I just want it to have overhang.
First thing I did when I seen them is walk up to the end. Checked the height, and stepped up to it to lean over like I was welding and bumped my knee.
That's what made me think about it.

I bought the extension to go with my Milwaukee weedeater pole saw attachment. Man that's nice.

It allowed me to reach high enough to cut the dead limb high enough to fall over and miss the power lines.

Used it and both of my Milwaukee chain saws today to trim the maple in the yard.

I got these through work free. They are 29.75"x46"
I'm going to cut the legs off of that table I just got, and put the top plate on one of these.
That'll get me the height I want, and 3.25" of hang over on the sides, with almost 7" on the ends.
With the inset tray at the bottom, there's still foot room on the sides.

The other one is going to get a butcher block style top, vice, and lower shelf, then sold.

Also came with a whole tray of nice 24v Asco 1/4" solenoids..... Probably sell them for $10-15 each too lol.
With any luck, I'll pretty much pay off my welding table :waytogo:

Almost did that, but restraint won out.

I thought about the Ling reach low profile rapid pump. But I don't need another floor jack atm

I planned to get a second to go with my 3t HD.
Then I got the lift and it just doesn't seem needed lol.
I'd still like to have a second around though.
Some times it's just easier to shove the jack under quick than line chit up with the lift.

I have not used my long reach since I installed the lift in the shop in Colorado. Used it to build the Jimmy. Then it has sat.

yeah, I have a 4 ton high lift that is covered in dust and takes up a lot floor space. It'll go 36"
