Depending on options they're between 3800 to 4100ish.Monte Carlos aren’t that chunky!
3/4" x 3/4" angle iron across the wheels width wise on the front edge and back makes there a LOT more sound . and just need longer bolts were they bolt the wheels on . not a fan of non metal wheels tho .I wouldn't worry about it.
Unless your in an earthquake zone or somebody hits the car with a truck while it's up there, it shouldn't get a lot of shear force.
My main concern when I was thinking about building some, was the wood it's self splitting out because of the screws.
That's when I started thinking about making some out of angle iron. Angle iron is cheap and I think they'd even be lighter maybe
Easier to hang from the ceiling anyway lol.
My vision was kind of leaning to a set of brackets I could set these in. And remove them if I wanted.

I've never seen one of those. How does it work? Not new but definitely cool. Hand held tach. Use it on all sorts of stuff to verify amperage vs RPM. Today I tested my own swamp cooler motor. It’ll probably make the rest of the season, still in spec

Rubber snubber on the business end, center it on the shaft of whatever you’re checking, spins it upI've never seen one of those. How does it work?
So it's purely mechanical?Rubber snubber on the business end, center it on the shaft of whatever you’re checking, spins it up
Purely mechanical, just have to make sure it “hooks up” so to speakSo it's purely mechanical?
Yep. Just don't run it on the edge.So it's purely mechanical?
I'm honestly surprised I've never seen one over the years.Purely mechanical, just have to make sure it “hooks up” so to speak
A little scotch brite on the end of the motor shaft does wonders
