Here it is, just cleaned and painted. I should have gotten a "before" picture. Stay tuned as I rebuild it and throw it under my K5 over the next few weeks.

One quick question... can the 1/2" wheel stubs be replaced with 9/16" ones to match the 14bff?

yes, the 1/2" wheelstuds can be pounded out and changed with the bigger ones. I had to do this to my d60 and it was about 3 bux a stud x 16. Is your hub the external style or the internal style? I love the fully boxed spring perch on the driver side. beefy.

Shock mounts are a dead give away, flat tabs are Dodge only.

Btw, the width between the leaf spring perch studs on the right side is different from a Chevy so be sure to get plates for the Dodge pattern.

The hubs it came with are internal style. I gotta finish cleaning up the knuckles and hubs so I can assemble it all. I'm trying to decide weather I should go get a press for the R&P bearings.

I measured the perch widths: 2.5". I guess that makes it a dodge 60. My springs are also 2.5" wide, so I should be able to mount this up with a little elbow grease, right?

I've put Dodge 60s in GMs before...no big deal.
Just ratchet strap your springs together to line them up with the narrower Dodge rear.

If it helps you find parts, Dodge axles with (original) internal style locking hubs were used from 89-92.

Yeah, the date casting says "6 9 90" and it came with internal style locks. The PO said it was a DRW converted to SRW with hubs from sixstates, I think. Am I going to have problems using the stock shock tabs?

not to be a pian in the a$$ but wasnt that the time of 61 axles that took diffrent inner guts. just incase you find problems when bolting up stuff.

First thing that said dodge to me was the tube side spring perch. Dodge has the cast one.

I think I should be fine... It came with a matching 4.10 R&P, good calipers and rotors... just a little dirty. I'm building a parts list and here's what I can see I'll be needing to get this going....

R&P Install kit (already purchased)
2 Kingpin rebuild kits
Dodge spring plate and u-bolt kit
Chevy wheel studs (just to match the rear)
X-over steering kit (to replace the dodge steering arm, already own a 2wd steering box which I will drill and tap for hydro assist first)

Possibly need:
New u-joints for the axle shafts
Locking hubs (still need to evaluate the parts I have)

I also don't see the need for 35 spline outers quite yet... I'm only running 36"s and I plan on running an open carrier until next spring. Am I missing anything? I'll be posting my progress on this thread, maybe it'll serve as a good tutorial for somebody.
