Ground hawgs opinions??

[ QUOTE ]
Hmmm, I'm close enough, let me see this dead horse you need to get rid of, and I'll come over and help

[/ QUOTE ]I'm only trying too educated the uneducated about a tire he has never owned, but continues too talk sh_t on. So, you see, I'm not beating a dead horse. /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

[/ QUOTE ]Okay, sence ya wanta stir the crap, I'll ask you too, Have you ever owned Ground Hawg's ?? The whole point myself and others have been making is; How can someone claim something suck, is garbage, ...ect. when they have never had the item they claim suck ?? /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

[ QUOTE ]

If they only had a tire with as good of forward traction in mud as a Bogger, that had the lateral traction of a TSL, they'd be perfect.

[/ QUOTE ] There is such a tire, they're called Ground Hawg's. They're made by Denman. /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

[/ QUOTE ]

I guess I'll reprase.

Remove the word, "Forward".

And you're certainly on crack if you think a hawg will pull like a bogger, even forward. No DOT approved tire will give you the forward traction of a bogger in the mud.

[/ QUOTE ] Did I ever say that ??? Hawg's are close too Boggers in the mud, but I'd have too give it up to the Boggers. By the way, it was crank not crack, crack is for those who claim Ground Hawg's suck. /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif [ QUOTE ]

[/ QUOTE ] The Hawg's are a compromise between those two tires you listed with a bonus of lasting way longer then both of them.

If only they were good in the rocks. then they would be /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

All I can say is when I got my hawgs it was cuz they where cheaper...and I admit I havent had em long....but the little I did use them, they did great!! And one cool thing about them, I had a few people stop by my camp to shoot the sh!t cuz I had ground hawgs and so did they....its almost like being in a club...Everyone runs swampers so who cares that one guy or another has em...but when they see hawgs its like guys who have ran them there whole lives come over to talk about there experiences with em....I think they are prolly as good a tire as any and there will always be oppinions on them both good, and bad...but the bottum line is listen to guys that have used them and the ones that continue to /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
for some people money isnt plentiful so when it comes time to lay a big chunk of change down for yer big tires...I personally want a tire that will last long and cost less!! and If im giving up a lil performance then so be it! I really doubt Im gonna get stuck somewhere just because of my tire choice....I'd be willing to bet I'd have gotten stuck just the same with any other tire /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

The most awesome thing I have ever seen wheeling was this giant muddy hill climb where the only guy to make it up without winching was a E.B. running cut boggers /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif It was truely an experience to see and the hill had stopped everyone else in their tracks, most were running TSL's.

[ QUOTE ]
They need to stay in mud, all the time. If I had a truck with ground hawgs I would just leave it at the end of a mud pit, walk out to where it was, drive through the mud, and leave it there.

I really don't even know why garbage like that is still on the market.

[/ QUOTE ]

Humm, Tim I got 44,000 miles out of a set of Hawgs (17x40). Mine worked great in mud & snow, so as usual I don't understand where you get off calling them garbage!

ground hawgs are definately gonna be my first set of serious tires. cheap, longlife, and for the wheeling i do? perfect! not too much rock crawling in ct that i know of. so i do mostly traisl/mud/street. and im gonna run either the 36's or 38's.

I don't need to own a set to know how they work. To think so is absolutely ridicoulous.

[/ QUOTE ] I think the people most qualified too talk about the Ground Hawg's are the people who have owned the Ground Hawg's. I've never owned a AMC Pacer, I've seen them, they don't appeal to me, but I couldn't tell you how they handle, thier 0 to 60 time, or what kinda mpg's they get. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif
