"Hardcore" 89 (Black and Blue). IT RUNS, DRIVES, AND STOPS. BUILD ON HOLD

You weren't kidding about your steering. whats up with it.

I'm not sure yet. Its the second new box I've put on with similar results. Hard to turn while sitting. My old leaky box was like butter. Gonna mess with the preload a little and maybe try the pump mod and go from there. I have hydro assist stuff laying in the garage.

I like your K5. How are those LTBs working out for you? Also, I think your K5 is the only '89-'91 K5 I've ever seen that doesn't have its original steering wheel on it. That style steering wheel seems to be popular on this site. Quite a few people have them in their rigs.

Scott

I didn't like the stock wheel. Too big.

I LOVE the LTB's! They work really well in the rutty/muddy/tree rooted trails up here. I haven't really had them in mud yet, but imagine they do good there too. They also work great on the rocks.

You get that hydro set up yet? How do you like those allied beadlocks. Whats the lowest air pressure you run with them.

You took a beautiful "survivor" truck and made it look like total trash. WTF were you thinking??? I bet you have a mullet and voted for Obama too, didn't you?

I hope you are kidding!! If not, you may want to find another forum to voice this type of opinion on.

Okay, maybe the mullet comment was a little over the top, but man... that truck was a rare find these days. It really hurts to see them in such great original shape and then get hacked up and modified. You really should have left it alone and bought a second one to customize. Just my 2 cents. But seriously, did you vote for Obama?

Um serious still? I appreciate everyone's opinion on a matter, however there is a reason the man won Blazer of the Month. You should check out what an amazing job he's done on "HIS" Blazer. Yes because it is his to do what he sees fit with it. I personally applaud his approach as the VERY ESSENCE of the Blazer was made to drive, not to sit pretty and look at.

Now PWagon if you'd like to get in a political discussion we can move over to the Lounge and duke it out there over opinons in presidency.... Oh once you've paid to be part of this great forum. :D

Great Job MT!

Fail on the trolling PWagon. :(

I find MY last post quite accurate in pointing out this truck as a rare find. Survivors are very rare these days, and this point cannot be argued. Yes, you are correct; We are all free to do what we want to our property. Furthermore, we are also free to speak out on our opinions and beliefs. I, personally, would not have gone that "route" on this truck. This forum is designed to voice opinions, and that EXACTLY WHAT I'M DOING! Anything else you'd like to attempt to argue about?

Actually quite a bit, but thats my nature. However as I previously pointed out, there is a better place to do such. (which my offer to discuss still stands if you are willing to pay for a membership to this site) Placing such a flagrant question regarding his choice of vote was not speaking your opinion. It was a disguesed attempt at yet more personal bashing of the individual. Once again, I call it Fail, which I suppose is just my "opinon" of the post.

Now with that out of the way we can get this post back on its intended track which of course is for MT to show us his build. (sorry to have Hijacked MT)

Here's a clue for you Sqeejo... it's called sarcasm. I couldn't care less about anyone's political views on this site. It sounds like you, however, have a "hard-on" for "The Lounge". Good luck finding someone to "lounge" with...

No still gotta order the JKW cap and tap my box. Right now I am trying to get my regular steering to work good before I add a ram to it. Gotta box used so I am gonna try that then return my "new" box to Vatozone again if the used one works good.

Last few trips I have run 4-5 up front and 3-4 in the rear. They work Awesome! Little rash on the rings, but no real damage and I use my tires to pivot on stuff all the time up here.

Survivor? Yeah the 89-91's are a little harder to find, and looking back I would have built an 87 or 88, but they are still fairly easy to find  I never intended on beating this truck up it just evolved. I don't know why I am even trying to justify my build to you. I've been on this forum for almost 10 years and been building this truck for 8 of them. Your opinion is your opinion and thats fine, but to come on here and bash me for mine...you may want to rethink your posts before you submit or you may want to find a new forum to run your mouth. Try Pirate4x4. They are more into preserving rare vehicles over there.

Oh and Obama voter? Nope. He's my Commander in Chief, but I didn't vote for him just like I don't have to like everybody who's freedom I defend! :angry1:

Thanks dude!

Now my other rig I would actually consider "rare" so see I have both. Something nice and mostly un molested, and a functional trail rig. Works for me

Good thing PWag can't find my blog without a membership. :D I still need to post up the latest fender cutting pics from my '91. :p:

Keep up the good work MT! :waytogo:

meh 89-91 are hardly rare. And to call his blazer trash is incorrect and completely out of line. Anyway Love seeing pics of the CC makes me want to buy a 3rd:haha:

One day when i stop spending money on my blazers, I am going to buy a crew cab just like that. I friggin love them.

Here's a clue for you PWagon...find another forum to bash on. Here, it's all about the brotherhood. You have to earn your place in it.:deal:

Politics is one of those things that should not be spoken here, along with religion. :ooo:

The 89-91 is hardly a rare find. I've owned three plus a crewcab. A '91 crewcab is a nice find due to the single year availability of stuff but even still...cut it up if you want. As for this build, there's a reason I voted for it as GMOTM on several occassions.:D
