Anybody make a steel cover that is designed to slide over stuff? Kind of like Kert's but with the "razors" covered up?

It's nice to be able to slide over stuff with a shaved rear differential... but if backing up stock-style covers make the housing act like a barb on a hook.

My best example is going to be Crane:

how much is this green badboy cost

$210 for the 14FF and D60.

The funny part is that they sell custom spring plates for only $18 each. :screwy:

Yeah but spring plates are fairly simple, I don't know exactly how those diff covers are manufactured but I bet a lot of work goes into them. I'd still buy Kerts however. :D

I'm going to get the GLO 14ff cover. I like the drain plug. It will fully empty the diff. Should I get countersunk holes or just use regular bolts? Does either one offer better clamping forces?

i have glo covers for both of my axles, and the 60 is countersunk and the 14 is not, i didn't notice any clamping differences, i think it is just a cosmetic deal. So if you like the looks of countersunk then get them, if not then dont.. hth..

anyone here uses kerts non razor back covers? they look awesome and beefy plus dirrt cheap for those of use that have access to steel and fab tools

I ordered the Great Lakes Offroad covers. Great price and beefy. Waiting for the mailman to drop them off.

I love my Razorback cover from DIY4X. I got the guardsman from him also. And to be really sweet, buy a ck5 fender badge from him also and put a notch into one of the ribs of the razorback cover and weld the fender badge into it. I just did that and it looks sweet. People will be behind me on the highway and be thinking WTF is that truck and WTF does CK5 mean. I Love It.
So did you ever get pics of this?
