Well actually When i did it i didnt chain it to a tree. Does that count??

Most wreaking yards have a big fancy frame straightening machine at least once a year. Dont need to chain it down or anything. It also makes the spring hangers lower for more lift. Just put it in the machine with a fork lift and presto 5 minutes later you have a perfectly straight frame.
