Horton, driveshaft opinions wanted

Cool pic I took at KOH just thought I would share

Still haven't got a chance to put anything new on, working on it though.

Plans change all the time

In the meantime I decided to go wheelin.

Our club had a cleanup, man shooters pick up after yourself please. I would bet 95% of the garbage we picked up had to do with shooters. Really upsets me.

We filled up one pickup bed, a dumptrailer, and a small dumptruck with garbage then went wheelin, not too many wheelin shots.

Here is a couple of shots of the cleanup and wheelin

Occasionally I do work. We raked the place clean:D so many shotgun shells

Horton in rescue mode, this poor little Jeep had pretzled his panhard bar, and had managed to get stuck on all 4 corners, rocks under the rear frame, and a rock under the front diff.

Short vid of me going over a small obstacle, Kind of fun when a little sami takes 20 minutes doesn't make it, then a flatfender linked front and rear with 37s and all sorts of cool stuff, takes 20 minutes and makes it.

Then I make it in all of 20 seconds :D yes that is me braggin up Horton

Nice, looks like a good time, makes me want to clean up my local spot, same shell situation going on there too.

Nice job helping everyone out with cleanup and rescue Eric. Glad you had fun wheelin too. Horton definitely works well.

Cool! Regarding that last obstacle: As I'm sure you know, built trucks only help a driver's poor skill so much. I've seen good drivers take stock Blazers through hard trails that broke bigger/badder trucks w/ poor drivers. :wink1:

As to the gun thing - pisses me off too. There's this place just outside of town where folks go to shoot. There are literally millions of shells on the ground out there, hundreds of shot up TVs and many other kinds of appliances. Hundreds of mattresses, etc. It's so irritating, partially because it's just plain wrong, and also because people assume that 4x4 guys are THOSE guys... grrr. Good on ya for cleaning it up.

I have no idea what your talking about :haha::haha::haha: (Notice I said braggin up Horton, not my super awesome driving skills)

As far as the cleanup goes it happens all over the west, shooters get easy access to a spot and it just becomes a mess. The BLM doesn't have the man hours to clean it up, the county seems like they could care less, and to be honest the shooters don't really care because they will just head down the next road if this road gets closed.

I would actually like to see shooting groups start to address this because its a huge issue out here. But we have contacted the local gun clubs and to point no finer a point on it, they could care less

Horton is awesome....good thing he leads you through the tough stuff and makes you look like the AJ Foyt of offroading!

Atta Boy! I'm glad to see that you are collecting Karma points.:waytogo:

I pledge to pack out more than I pack in on every trip. :D

Can you imagine if every single member did the same?

I am pretty sure the vast majority here do.

We have a great relationship with the BLM because of our cleanups, we do about 3 a year, kept track last year and it totalled 240 man hours of picking garbage up. Our club isn't very big either and we always go wheeling after the fact too.

So its fun.

This is one of the reasons I push local clubs, I probably would not do these cleanups if I weren't in a club, and fortunately some non club members help, but it is because of our local club that these cleanups started.

Join a local club and help the whole 4x4 world
